Prayers for the youth and marriages – 1 Feb 2009 Proverbs 19:27 Stop listening to instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge.

Father, we pray for our youth today. We pray that the Lord would define love in their lives. Lord, it saddens me to hear some of the most popular songs today about love. It talks about suicide, loneliness, hate, and bitter memories. Father, none of our youths would ever have to walk in broken relationships if they could just run to You. You are our comforter, you are our healer. You are our shelter. Father, many youth treat song artists as their source of strength, their mentor, their guide. Right now we pray for song artist throughout the world. We pray that the Lord’s hand would bind the mouths of those that sing about things that displeases the Lord. However, may those that praise the name of the Lord be exalted and used to mentor and guide our youth. All so that they will find You Lord. You O Lord are in control. Lord, we thank you for every marriage. We thank you for marriages that are defined by You Lord. We pray that You would continue to bless and use these marriages to help those that are broken. Lord, we pray that You would be our source of strength. Speak to our hearts right now Lord. For husbands, we pray right now that You would protect our hearts. Protect our eyes, our mouths and tongue. It is easy to flirt. God pierce us right now if we have a flirting spirit. God help us be faithful to our wives. Lord, we pray for every wife right now. Lord we pray that wives would never give up on their marriages because of circumstances. We pray Lord that You would be their source of strength. Wives right now, do not give up! Lord today, we pray that You would use marriages to humble nations. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
