Prayers for the youth and marriages – 31 Jan 2009 Proverbs 19:27 Stop listening to instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge.

Father, we pray for our youth. Today we pray that You would pierce the hearts of every rebellious child. Lord, we pray that You would humble their hearts. Allow them to recognize and realize why they are being rebellious. We pray against rebellion. We pray that every youth would realize the importance in respecting and honoring their parents, others, elders, and peers. Today, we pray that our children would walk in humility. In respect. But most importantly they would recognize the importance in worshiping and singing praises to You. Lord, let this be the new cool. The old has gone and the new has come. Lord, we pray that every marriage would be founded in the Word of God. We pray that the Bible would be the most vital component in every marriage. For every husband and wife that has taken for granted their walk with You, we ask for forgiveness. Lord, let the Word of God never depart from our mouths, hearts, and minds. Lord, I sense many marriages weakened because they have dried up their souls. Our souls need to hunger and thirst for the Word of God. If we keep reading the same verses over and over again, we are no different that those seeds there were thrown on rocks. They grew but died because their roots had weak foundation. Lord, humble us today. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
