In this world but not bound to it – Example to the world Being bound to our Father and not to this world is all that satisfies. In our lifetime, are we going to be that example to the world? In my opinion, there are many Christians who are picking the wrong battles to fight. We can argue till the cows come home, in the end so what if we are right! It is not about being right or wrong, it is about being an example to the world. I pray that we would show people, rich or poor, that despite our flaws, imperfections, and weaknesses, there is something in our lives that you don’t have. What is this “x-factor” that people don’t have? In my opinion life is absolutely empty without Christ. And because they don’t have Christ, let us pray that they would long to have what we have. How will you make people long to have Christ in them? People long for something that is not the norm. What is it about this person; he/she is not after money, sex, the “lifestyle”, is this for real? Are you bound to God or to the world? 2 Thes 1:11-12 With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of His calling, and that by His power He may fulfil every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith.
