Prayers for the youth and marriages – 9 Jan 2009 Ephesians 6:1-4 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor you father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise: that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth. And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

Lord Jesus, we pray for every single youth right now. O Lord, we pray that they would continue to run after all that You have for them. We pray that this year would be a year to remember for all the youths. That God is raising up a generation of sons and daughters who are going to be used to humble the wise, the rich, not by human abilities but by the power of God. Lord, we pray that our children would recognize the importance of trials and struggle. We pray that our children would be egger to grow, to learn, to suffer for You, so that the world would know and recognize that You are the Lord Jesus Christ. Father, heal the next generation. Father, we pray that marriages would continue to grow in the Lord. We pray that husbands would lead, would not take the back seat, and would strive to be lead by the Lord in every area. Lord humble us today, we surrender our lives to You. Wives, we pray that they would continue to find strength in You Lord. We pray that they would always be a firm pillar for their marriage by Your strength. We pray that they would bring strength, stability, and security to the marriage. Father, where many marriages have been founded on brittle soil and uneven ground, we pray that no longer will this be the case. Lord, let all marriages be founded on You today. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
