Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 1 Feb 2009

Let God define love in your life – Love is defined by God As I conclude this series on love, I pray that we would continue redefining love in our lives defined by God. It is easy to forget. However, I pray that we would never forget. I hope that we would always remember this statement: Love defined by God is more than. Love is more than gifts. It is more than saying encouraging words. Love is more than comfort or discipline. Love is even more than serving and being selfless or sacrificing. Love is more than me, more than you. Love is defined by God. Obey His voice, and we will never fail to love. However, how are we to obey if we don’t know God? Is God real in our life? Is our relationship with God all we care about? Let us pray that we would love others the way God loves. I pray as well that we would define love by God and not by movies or other ways. Deut 6:5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. Deut 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands. Matthew 22:37-38 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
