Navigating through the course of life – Submission In order for us to allow God to navigate our lives, we must submit to Him. When we talk about submission, it is more than words, it is actually doing it. I am drawn to this one question: Why should I submit to God? If we cannot answer this question, then having God navigate our lives is pointless and useless. However, if we can answer this question, we know exactly why we need God to navigate our lives. I really want to answer the question, but there is a reason why God does not want me to. Your answer and reason for submitting is between you and God. Submission ties in so closely with obedience. However, submission is the act of surrendering everything to God and laying our defences down. God is very clear and simple. When we are defensive towards God and towards correction, we are not submitted to God and we have not fully surrendered everything to Him. Overcoming submission problems is vital. God is all we need. Do we know if our heart is going to keep pumping once we have finished reading today’s words of encouragement? Another Tsunami could strike us all right now. If God is not navigating, life becomes very dark, cold, and scary.
