Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 9 Jan 2009 Ephesians 5:1 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

#94 Iraq Father, we think you for the nation of Iraq. Lord, we focus our prayers for this nation, and we continue to pray that Your hand of glory, love, and protection would never leave or depart this nation. We pray that the Lord’s righteousness would reign over this nation. Father, whatever has happen politically in the last few years we pray that the good would come out of this. Father, we pray that no one or anything would ever get in the way of Your will and purpose. Father, there is so much potential in this nation. We know that You are really going to use this nation. Lord, we pray for the poor people throughout the world. Especially in war stricken nations. We pray that nations would rise together in unity to help these people. Father, it starts at the heart of each and every person. We pray against selfishness, and we pray that the gift of selflessness would spread like wildfire. Instill in us all a sense of responsibility. Father, let this be a global cry, that we cannot go on living knowing that someone is freezing to death, starving to death, dying of thirst, illness, and abuse. Father, we turn our hearts towards you. We pray that we would tune our hearts to Yours. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
