Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 8 Jan 2009 Ephesians 5:1 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

#93 Iran Lord, as the Middle East sits on major conflicts from corner to corner, we thank You and praise You. It is through this shaking and conflicts that our hearts begin to recognize the need for You. Lord, help us today to be attentive to Your voice, to every aspect of life that You are showing us. Father, we pray that You will use the nation of Iran to bring peace and prosperity. Lord we pray that You would protect Your children, it is hard to distinguish between those that mean for evil and those that want to uphold righteousness. But no matter what we thank you Lord, because Your ways are higher than ours. Lord God, raise generations of children who will stand for what is righteous. Lord, we pray for war stricken nations right now. As conflict arises the number of poor increases, the number of starving increases, and the number of those that need medical attention increases. Lord the enemy wants us to give up praying. The enemy wants us to think that our prayers are of no use. However, we will not entertain the voice of the enemy. We will not shrink back, and we will only pray louder and sing praises to Your name. Father, we pray right now that You would touch and humble hearts right now. Especially those that want to cause more damage and destruction. Lord, we pray that through this, Your name would be shouted, lifted higher, and praised throughout the earth. Your glory reigns, and today we pray that every poor person will be fed by You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
