Navigating through the course of life - Obey As we navigate through the course of life, it is vital and necessary that we obey. But who do we obey, our own desires, or God? Ecclesiastes 8:5 Whoever obeys His command will come to no harm, and the wise heart will know the proper time and procedure. There are things in life that we simply have no control of that is why we need God. Time is very short, which is why it is so important that God directs our steps. The next step forward that we must do everyday, is to OBEY. When we disobey, we are aligning our hearts to sin and not to God. As we navigate through life, the more we align our hearts to God the road ahead becomes clearer even through the storms. However, the more we align our hearts to sin and disobey; the road ahead becomes gloomy, and our vision becomes cloudy. In Joshua 3:5 the Word of God says, Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you. Consecrate is to be set apart. To be set apart in my opinion is to uphold to convictions and not to follow the norm. The norms obey their own thirst and desires. The consecrated obey God and because of that, God promises them that He will do amazing things among them. Today, ask yourself these questions. Am I set apart O Lord? Have I fully obeyed You, if not what are the things I must do to fully obey? Deuteronomy 6:3 Hear, O Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your fathers, promised you. © 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
