Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 27 Jan 2009

Let God define love in your life – Forgiveness There is love in forgiveness. Our Father is the definer of forgiveness. In Genesis, God created everything that was good. Yet, the first act of disobedience took place shortly after God created everything that was good. It was Adam and Eve who disobeyed God. It wasn’t any other creation. Yet He chose to forgive us, He still chooses to use us, and we are the only creation to be made in the image of God. Love and forgiveness go hand in hand. If we have the inability to forgive, especially towards those who are close to us, then it is very hard to love others. Unforgiveness corrupts us. It corrupts love, and corrupts everything that is good in our lives. Most often those who live in unforgiveness are blind. They do not see what is righteous, pure, and of value in God’s eyes. God had every right not to forgive us. From Genesis till right now this very second. By the time that God used Noah, humans had become so corrupted, so evil, that He wanted to wipe out the entire human race. Yet one man stood faithful and uncorrupted. I pray that the story of Adam and Eve, and Noah would leave a lasting memory in our hearts of the love our Father showed. How is your relationship like right now with God? Are there people in your life right now that you have yet to forgive?
