Prayers for the youth and marriages – 21 Jan 2009 Numbers 14:18 The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet He does not leave the guilty unpunished; He punishes the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation.

Father, we pray for our children. We pray that they would recognize their value and worth. However, today we pray that we would seek complete healing from the sins of our fathers from generations ago. We pray that our youth would be set free from the past. We pray that our child would hold firmly to their identity in You and not in anything else. Father, many children today still suffer from the sins of the past, and we pray that this would no longer reign and rule. Lord, you are our healer and restorer. Today, we pray for restoration. We pray for every single marriage right now. We pray that couples would begin to search their hearts. Help us to see and recognize the sins of our past that we have brought into our marriages. Father, we pray that we would remember Numbers 14:18. Help us hold firmly to the Word of God. Help us to recognize and be aware of the sins that we may have brought into our marriages. Help us to be aware of the sins that we may pass on to our children as well. Lord, we pray for restoration and healing to take place. May our hearts be set free from sin. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
