Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 21 Jan 2009 |

Let God define love in your life – Love your neighbor as yourself. It is a simple principle, yet it is one of the most difficult things to implement. Love your neighbor as yourself. Many of us value our lives. September 11, 2001 has left many memories. However, the most memorable are those of the silent heroes who sacrificed their own lives to save others. Leviticus 19:18 Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. Why do we have to wait for a natural disaster or terrorism to occur before we can love others? What is stopping us from caring for others? If the way we view the world is “only” through our eyes, in my opinion we are limiting our full potential. God uses those who are able to love others. Selfishness is the work of the enemy, and we must fight off our selfish nature. Today, let us put ourselves in other people’s shoes. This is not based on false assumptions and trying to read peoples’ minds. However, it is the Holy Spirit convicting us to pour love towards others. The world is filled with selfish people, who only think of themselves. It is time we change this statistic. © 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
