Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 1 Dec 2008 |

The fear of the Lord The fear of the Lord is evident and present in people who have a strong and personal relationship with God. A child as young as five can fully grasp the meaning of the fear of the Lord. Today, are we hungry for more of God? I believe that God allows trials, illness, struggles, failures, and even persecution in our lives to challenge our faith. Are we going to fully trust God with the fear of the Lord, or are we going to allow circumstances to determine the outcome? A person, who walks with the fear of the Lord, knows and trusts that God is in control of the circumstance. A person, who walks with the fear of the Lord, knows that if he or she is faced with persecution knows that God has a reason and purpose. However, without a relationship with God, a person is completely lost, stressed, confused, uncertain, and scared about the future. Even the most confident person will be lost without God. Psalm 19:9 The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. © 2008 Shaun Lee. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
