Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 1 Dec 2007

2 Samuel 22:17 “He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.”

No matter how deep of a situation we are in, no matter how wretched we may feel, nothing is too deep that God cannot rescue us from. Amazing is His grace for us!

Imagine out of the 6.6bln people in this world, and with all the chaos in this world our Father still takes the time to care about us. He loves us so much that He will reach down on high to pull us out of deep waters.

Do you feel like you are in deep waters? Situations that you do not have solutions to and feel like at any point you could breakdown. You cry because you feel alone, and feel like giving up. Today remember that our Lord is our rock and refuge, and His love is immeasurable.

Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 30 Nov 2007

2 Samuel 22:2-3 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—from violent men you save me.

There are many prayers but none are as fitting as this when we are faced with discouragement, when we are faced with persecution, and when we sit on top of the world.

Emotionally we may be facing ups and downs, despite this we can still stand with our heads held high, knowing that our God is our rock, our fortress, our deliverer.

Today, you might be facing a difficult day. Things seem to be falling apart, but let us remember this verse; let us hold on to God’s promises and verses of encouragement with all our lives! Allowing no room for the enemy to discourage us and pull us down.

Opportunities! May today’s word be a reminder, an encouragement never to doubt humble beginnings, and even people. Sometimes we look at people and we prejudge them, we even look down on some people; but we never know why God would link us with these people.

Sometimes we take a deep look at our lives and we compare ourselves to others our age group who are earning better, have a family, the house, the nice car, and the self-pity party begins.

Opportunities! I hope that we would be encouraged at our humble beginnings and more importantly not judge people around us, because we never know what God could do through them. The power of God is beyond our control, the purpose and plans of God are in His hands.

Today let us look at life, our lives not through Man’s eyes but the way our Lord see us.

1 Chronicles 16:8 Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.

Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 28 Nov 2007

“Break-in the seams” I don’t know how many of us love reading books, but sometimes books fall apart because we don’t break-in the seams. So in the end we have a great book with pages falling out.

Today’s word of encouragement is “Break-in the seams of our faith.” I hope that this image of breaking in will be a constant reminder that we need to put into practice our love for God. Otherwise it will be useless and like books that have not been broken into, they fall apart.

I know that we all don’t want to be the latter, a person who is falling apart. However, many of us are falling apart. Seems like life is full of chaos, confusion, and we are all over the place emotionally. Don’t get upset, don’t get down, and don’t give up!

We have with us on a daily basis the MAKER OF ALL BOOKS! He perfects even the ugliest books, the oldest, dirtiest, and unused books that people don’t even want to buy second-hand. Many of us feel like second-hand books, but remember we have the maker of all books, who can mend, and restore even the ugliest books ever.

Isaiah 29:15-16 Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their plans from the LORD, who do their work in darkness and think, "Who sees us? Who will know?" 16 You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, "He did not make me"? Can the pot say of the potter, "He knows nothing"?

2 Samuel 10:1-4 In the course of time, the king of the Ammonites died, and his son Hanun succeeded him as king. 2 David thought, "I will show kindness to Hanun son of Nahash, just as his father showed kindness to me." So David sent a delegation to express his sympathy to Hanun concerning his father. When David's men came to the land of the Ammonites, 3 the Ammonite nobles said to Hanun their lord, "Do you think David is honoring your father by sending men to you to express sympathy? Hasn't David sent them to you to explore the city and spy it out and overthrow it?" 4 So Hanun seized David's men, shaved off half of each man's beard, cut off their garments in the middle at the buttocks, and sent them away.

It is so important who you listen to and who you gain advice from. Bad people corrupt noble people. Today’s word of encouragement comes from this passage. A reminder that who we chose to spend time with, whom we listen to, and who we get advice from; they all matter!

We are faced with choices and decisions, sometimes cutting off friendships are better than to continue on, why because not all friendships are helping us grow stronger in loving God.

May this word from 2 Samuel 10:1-4 be a constant reminder to value friendships especially great men and women of God who love God. Let us thank God today for these people in our lives. However, let this word also be a reminder that bad people will lead us astray.

Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 26 Nov 2007

The feeling of loneliness is one of the greatest fears. Today’s word of encouragement is beating loneliness by one who rescues us. It is a matter of us calling on the name of the Lord, yet most of us still feel alone.

All of us go through, and experience different things in life, it is a matter of find what makes us lonely. For me personally I feel alone when the people closest to me get mad, upset, and irritated at me. To you it could be the feeling of rejection, not getting married, losing a loved one, losing a pet, etc.

There are so many ways I can respond, react, and deal with situations when I feel alone. But there is only one thing that makes a difference. Calling on the name of the Lord, the one who rescues.

But why is it that when we do call on the name of the Lord, we still feel alone? I am not a mind reader, and everyone’s experiences are all different, but when it comes down to it, the main reason why we still feel alone is because: We are wrestling with God, we aren’t at peace with God’s answer, and we want God to solve our loneliness OUR WAY.

Psalm 18:19 He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.

Today, let us give glory to God, and give Him our burdens. Watch and see your life change because He delights in us.

Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 25 Nov 2007

Thanksgiving, a time to give thanks to family, friends, people who have blessed you, but most of all it is a time to give thanks for all that God has done.

I hope that today you will find the time to reflect on your past, and just recall all the moments that you are grateful for. The amazing thing is to see that even through the darkest hours, the loneliest times, and through all the obstacles, God saw us through, we overcame, and we came out stronger.

Right now some of us may be facing and going through trails. Emotionally we are hurt and bitter, and asking God, “Why God, why did you make me go through that? Why am I suffering? I thought You gave me clarity over this issue?” If you are going through a trial and a test, and it is hard for you to give thanks to God for what you are experiencing, it is time! IT IS TIME TO LET GO!

God has a purpose a reason for allowing us to go through tests, trials, and suffering. Today, let us give glory to God in EVERYTHING! Do we really mean what we say? We sing songs that say to God, “I give my life to you, and all I have is yours.” Do we really mean what we say?

Let us give thanks to God for everything, for we are not worthy of anything, let what Jesus did for us be a reminder of giving thanks.

1 Chronicles 16:8 Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.

Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 24 Nov 2007

John 6:35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.”

Most of us look at our financial situations and wonder how in the world will I ever be able to provide for my family, own my own house, be out of debt, or even earn a decent living to be able to pay my bills.

Jesus stated it simply to us, I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry. What does it take for us to believe what Jesus is saying to use all, FAITH. Believing in Him and we are assured that we will never be thirsty.

Today let’s examine our hearts and see, how big our faith is! Do we have big faith to believe that God can do more than what we think is possible? Today let’s stop complaining, whining to God, but start declaring His promises over our lives.

Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 23 Nov 2007

1 Samuel 16:17-23 So Saul said to his attendants, "Find someone who plays well and bring him to me." 18 One of the servants answered, "I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the harp. He is a brave man and a warrior. He speaks well and is a fine-looking man. And the LORD is with him." 19 Then Saul sent messengers to Jesse and said, "Send me your son David, who is with the sheep." 20 So Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread, a skin of wine and a young goat and sent them with his son David to Saul. 21 David came to Saul and entered his service. Saul liked him very much, and David became one of his armor-bearers. 22 Then Saul sent word to Jesse, saying, "Allow David to remain in my service, for I am pleased with him." 23 Whenever the spirit from God came upon Saul, David would take his harp and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him.

If we read carefully the life of Saul and David, we would know that Saul was the first king chosen by God; however, through disobedience God chose David as King. In 1 Samuel 16:17-23 it baffles me why, out of all the people in the world, HOW, WHY did David get chosen to play the harp to Saul?

Today’s word of encouragement is to realize that God can use anyone, even our enemies to help mentor and guide us in our future. God sends us, uses us for reasons we don’t know, but we have to remember this as an example. God uses people to guide our futures.

Despite David suffering from all of Saul’s insecurities, jealousy, and persecution, David stood head strong. He knew his identity was in CHRIST, he knew God’s calling on his life, and what was priceless, David learnt from all of Saul’s flaws as well as his gifts.

Let today be a reminder to us all, that God can use anyone to help us, even our enemies, and even the people we don’t get along with.

Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 22 Nov 2007

There are so many con-artists out there, deceivers trying to cheat people out of money. It is really a daily reminder that in life we must walk with our “Spiritual Alarms” turned on.

But you know what, we are all con-artist when we think about it. We deceive people, even people close to us. What is even worst though is that we deceive our own Father in heaven.

God cannot be deceived, He can see right through, underneath all the layers, what is hidden in the dark places of our hearts. Despite knowing this, we still continue our old ways, why? I wonder if we have ever stopped to think and question ourselves, why do we deceive God. Why do we continue our bad habits?

Right now I wonder what we are all feeling after reading this. I feel sad and excited at the same time! Why? Because, I know that there is none but Jesus! You see despite all our failures, lack of wisdom, sin, and how much we hurt our Father, he pours nothing but His love on us.

Leviticus 19:11 " 'Do not steal. " 'Do not lie. " 'Do not deceive one another.

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 21 Nov 2007

Deut 5:29 Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!

Inclined is such a powerful word, to me personally it is a gentle reminder that awakens us to yearn more and more of our Father. God never forces us and He never requires us to desire Him. Isn’t that amazing? The fear of the Lord, it is a daily reminder to fear God more than what we are facing in life.

God never forces us to walk righteously, He tells us, warns us of the consequences. If we really fear God, what that means is that we really love God. I pray that today will be an awakening for all of us, a rebuilding of true love with our Father.

God must be first in everything! I know this message has been talked about so much, but God must be first before our dreams, desires, our marriage, and for all us single people—God must be first over anyone we maybe interested in. Do we really love God with all our hearts?

Deuteronomy 6:5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

Mark 12:30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'
