Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 27 Nov 2008

#60 Dominica

Father, in this hour we lift up the nation of Dominica to You. We thank you for the plans that you have in store for this nation. Father, as this nation is in transition, in the process of development, and change. We pray that You would help align this nation’s aims and goals with Your plans Lord.

In the name of Jesus we pray that Your sons and daughters would not be ashamed, would not take the back seat, but will rise to authority. Would stand in the gap, so that Biblical principles can be implemented, restored, and used to transform this nation and the lives of its people.

Lord, today we declare this nation Yours. We Thank you that Your plans are everlasting. Today, we pray for more hungry and thirsty souls for the Lord. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Acts 22:14, “The God of our fathers has chosen you to know His will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from His mouth. You will be His witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on His name.”

Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Lord, you are the King of Glory, You are the mighty King of all. For every child who is in lack today, we pray that they would find you. We pray that You would give them complete peace, rest, hope, and meaning in life.

It is easy to give up. It is easy to hate God. But today, we pray that every poor person would be shielded and find refuge in your arms O Lord.

You are the stronger than the hand of evil. Your purposes are far greater than money and worldly satisfaction. Help us Lord, recognize that we need to constantly pray for the poor. We must stand in the gap for them. In the name of Jesus we pray that this world will be a different place because of sacrifices that will take place, to help transform the lives of the poor. In Your name we pray, amen.
