Prayers for the youth and marriages ~ 30 Dec 2009 1 Corinthians 12:26 If one suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it.

Open the eyes of our heart Lord, we want to see You. We pray that our children would begin to do things, because You say so. We pray that they would begin to strive for things that glorify Your name and not their own. We pray that our children would begin to walk in areas, because You are leading and they are obeying. The world is going to be a different place because of our children who listen to You. Father, where we have failed to lead and guide our children, we seek Your forgiveness. Where we have been selfish, we repent. Today, we pray for a good wake up call. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

In the name of Jesus we pray that marriages would begin to take all of You and nothing less. We pray for a good wake up call today for some marriages. Some of us have taken the backseat in our marriage, in the areas of raising up our children, and it is TIME TO STOP! God is not pleased when we are not actively making a difference in our marriage and in the lives of our children. Father, we pray that 2010 will be a year of advancing Your Kingdom through godly marriages and the laying of solid foundations. Father, we continue to pray for marriages today, that it will be used to glorify Your name. In Jesus we pray, amen.

Father, we pray that You would anoint our children with gifts and talents used for Your purpose and not used for foolish reasons. There are so many gifted and talented children who are rotting their lives away because of a lack of wisdom. Today, we pray that eyes would be opened. We pray right now that every child would make every effort to make sure that we are honouring and respecting our parents. Lord Jesus, if we do not heal and restore broken relationships, hurt, suffering, and pain, we will bring this on into the future, into our marriages, and we could even pass this on to our children. Today, we pray that we would choose to be set free from any hurt and broken relationships. We pray for mending. We pray for restoration. We pray for healing. Open the eyes of every heart right now. As we continue to pray for marriages, we pray that every couple would recognise the importance in healing their past. Any unresolved issues, unforgiveness, hurt, bitterness, and issues from the past will be past on into your marriage and to our children if we do not ask the Lord to heal and to forgive. Today, is the day the Lord says! The Lord wants us to deal with what needs dealing with. If we are trying to move on our own way, we will fail. Today, let us do things the way God wants. Father, give us the strength. Give us the courage and boldness to face our past so that we can walk forward anew. There are too many broken relationships. Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 18 Dec 2009

Empty promises-waste of time I pray we would identify everything in our lives that are an utter waste of time. Things that are a waste of time not in our own eyes or based on our feelings, but things that God says remove or we will continue to fill our lives with empty promises. Do we know exactly the stumbling blocks we are to remove? It ranges from sin issue to character flaws, our attitude, actions, and desires. We will know exactly what they are because these are areas which upset God and make Him mad. If we do nothing to change, fix, and remove; expect nothing back in return. How can a bad tree produce good fruit? The Word of God proves that it is impossible. Please read Matthew 7:17-19. God wants complete Lordship from now on; I pray we would desire this. There are definitely areas in our lives which we must do more of. However, because of our inability to remove certain stumbling blocks, we are unable to do more of what God looks at as worth more than diamonds and gold. God is clear as to what we must do more of. Reading the Word of God daily, talking to Him, worshiping Him in every aspect of our lives, honouring and caring for people, the list is simple and not complicated. However, it requires us to read the Word to find out. I pray we would do two very important things on a daily basis. Remove what God says remove and implement what God says we must implement more of. Proverbs 12:27 The lazy man does not roast his game, but the diligent man prizes his possessions.

Father we pray for our children. We pray that they would begin to see their callings their destiny. We pray for every youth to be challenged to go and grow deeper. In the name of Jesus we thank You for every life, even the ones that are seen as the most sinful. O Lord we pray that You would help teach us how to speak into the lives of our youth. Help us to instil Godly principles and foundations in their lives so that they would have the wisdom to know what is from You and what is not. Father, we pray that our children would grow hungry and thirsty for You. We pray that they would desire to change their lifestyle. We pray that they would redefine the meaning of being cool. Today, we thank You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Holy God, we pray right now that You would set us free for all the chains that bind us. We pray for amazing breakthroughs to take place within every marriage. Where we have failed to say sorry, to forgive, to repent, to change-in the NAME OF JESUS WE BREAK THESE CHAINS. Today, we pray that every marriage would be defined by You O Lord. We pray that forgiveness, Lordship, and the act of apologizing would be core, the centre, and the heart beat of all marriages. Father, You are the rock and solid foundation of our marriage. In order for us not to allow a single ounce or any room for the devil to reign in our marriage, we need to forgive, let go, and say sorry. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Empty promises-blind leading the blind Matthew 15:14 Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit. As we press into the core of living our lives with empty promises, our Father wants us to know if we have fallen into the pit. The pit of the blind leading the blind. I pray we would understand the meaning of what a guide is. A guide is one who leads, directs, shows, and points to where we are suppose to go. In this life we will find good guides and bad guides. We need the discernment to know who to follow. Today, are we blind? Are we leading others blindly? Maybe it is time to find the right guides in our lives? I pray we would surround ourselves with good guides because they have an intimate relationship with our Lord. Do we have any blind guides in our lives right now? I pray we would not cover for them. I pray we would cut these relationships out of our lives. If we continue to listen to them, we are allowing the enemy to fill our lives with empty promises. THE BLIND ARE BLIND; THEY ARE CONFUSED IN THEIR OWN CONFUSION. Empty promises-little white lies I pray we would never fill our lives with little white lies. The enemy robs us of our destiny whenever we tell a lie. Lies are lies whether they are small or big. Lies are empty promises. First it starts as little white lies, and getting away with it is exciting. However, what we are doing is absolutely dangerous. We are opening the doors to our heart and soul for the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy. Harmless white lies are like leeches that suck the life out of us slowly, till we die a slow death. I pray we would stop this right now. Lies are a way of running away from the truth and not dealing with the current situation. Lies are a way for us to make ourselves sound big and great, when we are actually not. I pray we would stop lying to ourselves and others. We cannot lie to God. He knows us inside out! Right now we pray for righteous young men and women to rise up. We pray for the next generation and generations to come. They are going to be blessed right now in the name of Jesus. We pray for our sons and daughters to establish their birthright right now. How You O Lord have made man and woman is clear and distinct. Today, we pray that these biblical laws and truths will be imprinted on our hearts. The world is going to look different because our children are going to understand their roles. Clearly O Lord, the roles of a male and female have been lost and destroyed. Today, we pray that Your loving hand would bring restoration. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Lord, we lift up every marriage to you right now. We pray against tiredness, against quick temperedness. Right now we pray that strong foundations will be laid. We pray for good seeds to fall on good soil right now. We pray that couples would take ownership of their marriage. We pray for greater humility. We pray against pride, stubbornness, and anger. We pray that You O Lord would reveal your perfect plan made through every marriage. Lord, we finally pray that you would guard and protect our mouths that we would speak out of love that comes from the Lord. Help us not curse those that you Love. In your name, amen.

Empty promises-reflection time Personally I feel that this series on empty promises can be quite overwhelming. Today, God wants us to reflect on what we have covered over the past few weeks. What are some areas that we need to work on more? More importantly, what are some areas that we can master so we can be used effectively for the Kingdom of God. I believe it is necessary for us to take time to reflect with God. Not only are we looking at our lives, but we are spending quality time with God. There is a danger when we get on this mode of fixing every problem, making sure every area of our lives is accounted for. We could miss the whole point of life. TO LOVE GOD, SPEND TIME WITH HIM, AND FIND OUT HOW GOD'S DAY WAS. I pray we would develop an intimate relationship with God. An intimate relationship with God beats every empty promise out of us.
