Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 23 Nov 2008

Racism

We pray for India, Germany, United States, United Kingdom, Japan, the African continent, Australia, and the rest of the world.

Australia

Father, the very fact that this nation leader chose to seek forgiveness from its native people. You are going to pour Your unfailing blessings upon this nation.

Healing, forgiveness, and restoration have begun. However, we pray for more action. We pray that collectively Australians will unite against racism. Like the United States and the United Kingdom, Australia has become multi-cultural. Father, teach us to adapt.

We pray for the Asians, Europeans, Americans, every race and culture that calls Australia their home. Instead of being seen as a curse, we pray today that people will see each race for their gifts and ability to transform the nation of Australia all for God’s glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Acts 22:14, “The God of our fathers has chosen you to know His will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from His mouth. You will be His witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on His name.”

Father, there is still a lot of injustice in this world. There will always be the distinction between the rich and the poor. But no matter what help us not give up praying and helping the needy.

Every nation has poor people. Some live on the streets and others are harder to find. But God, today we seek You. Help us care.

In the name of Jesus we pray that our hearts would change. We pray for more caring people in this world. We pray for less selfish people.

Father, with more caring people in this world it is more than possible that there will be less wars fought.

Today, we pray that an army of selfless people would rise up and band together. One that will be more effective than the United Nations in simply fulfilling this mission of proving help to the poor, and raising more people with caring hearts.

Psalm 31:19 How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you.
