Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 15 Nov 2008

Through you they shall know that I am the Lord. Imagine the impact that Joseph has left behind for the entire world to hear. His brothers sold him at a young and tender age because of jealous. Can you imagine from a well to do son he became a slave. However, he found favor with his master and was put in charge of all of the master’s dealings. But this is not all. Time after time his master’s wife would pursue Joseph to sleep with her. On one occasion, she trapped him, but he escaped. She made up some story and because of that Joseph was throne into prison. To be honest with you, every time I read the story of Joseph, God convicts me. I complain and whine about the smallest things in life. Joseph never gave up on God even when He was thrown into prison. Today, God is using the life of Joseph to tell us that through you they shall know that I am the Lord. The pain the suffering that you may be experiencing, don’t give up on God. God can use the most difficult circumstances in our lives for His glory. Just as He did through Joseph and many others. What is your testimony going to be today? Are we going to be remember as the guy/lady who gave up, fell short, and lost it all because life was too difficult for him/her to handle. What God do we worship? One that is weak, or the One and only. He is the beginning and the end, before Him there was no other.
