Prayers for the youth and marriages – 1 Oct 2008

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 1 Oct 2008

Father, we praise and lift your name on high today. We thank you for every child today, a special day, Children’s Day.

For every child created, we pray that God would bless you today. Remember that you have been made by God. He has a unique plan and destiny for you. You don’t have to fight the world and be someone that you aren’t.

Today, we pray that you would remember God’s love for you. Where we have failed, God has not. We may not have parents that love us fully, but God does. In the name of Jesus today we pray for Your love to pour on each child.

We thank you and honor you today Lord. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord,” plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Lord Jesus, thank you for marriages right now. The Lord wants us to pray a prayer of blessing over your spouse right now.

Just thank God for that person, do not miss out on any detail. What are you grateful for? Then ask God to reveal to you your spouses burdens, concerns, and worries. Then pray that God would right now fill the gap.

In the name of Jesus we pray for blessings over all couples. Help couples find renewed love. In the smallest things. Not just romance, but everyday they can find time to share their love towards each other.

Father, where there is worry, doubt, concern, we pray that you would fill the gap. Not by our own hands shall we face these things. We do not trust in other God’s, in fortune telling, but in You O Lord.

Strengthen marriages today, we pray all these things into being right now. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 1 Oct 2008

Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 1 Oct 2008

Be wise and not unwise- understand what the Lord’s will is.

Ephesians 5:15-17 Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.

Today’s word of encouragement is being wise and simply understanding what the will of God is. Is it possible to fully understand what the will of God is? Yes, it is written in the Word of God, and to not know it, means we have to: read it.

It took me awhile to figure out what God’s will is for my life. At 18 I was thankful then for the Army because I could “buy” three years of my time. To not think about my future and what God wanted me to do. Though I was unwise, I needed to go through that experience in order to understand what God was saying to me all along.

I switched courses half way through my four years of university. From wanting to be a computer graphics designer to a business major. This was a wise decision I made. Simply because I was hearing God, and realizing that this is His will for my life.

Today let us pray that each person young or old would walk in wisdom that we may understand what the Lord’s will is.

Let us not waste time.

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 30 Sept 2008

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 30 Sept 2008

Father, we pray specifically for generations of youths who would be men and women of foresight. We pray for these future leaders who will be used as an example. The impact that they will make will leave a lasting imprint.

Today, we pray for teachers, mentors, and current leaders to humble themselves to guide these youths through your wisdom. God, you are in control and we pray right now that you would bring restoration and healing.

The enemy knows that these are God’s precious children that will be used. God, help us today. Help us listen to your direction. Help us to obey and not take these future leaders for granted. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

2 Samuel 22:3 My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior-from violent men you save me.

Lord we pray a prayer of declaration today. We write on our hearts our battle cry for marriages throughout the world. Raise up armies of strong marriages in the name of Jesus.

The Lord’s armor and shield is on you. Do not fear, do not be weary. God is our strength and our fortress. Whom shall we fear? The hands of the enemy are small and weak against the mighty hands of our Lord. I will soar, we will soar on eagles wings.

God thank you. We thank you for the trials, thank you for the testing. Thank you for the struggles, for we know that because of these things the enemy knows how powerful our marriage is going to be.

The word of God says, “Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. (Romans 5:3-5)

The self-centered generation

I would like to spend a little bit more time through the next few days focusing on Ephesians 5:15-17. I believe that God is not only warning us, but He is clearly telling us all, we need to examine how we live everyday.

Ephesians 5:15-17 Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Today’s word of encouragement is a simple question. Are we self-centered? When we talk with people, friends, do you find yourself talking all about YOU?

We need to hear ourselves talk. Sometimes I notice that a lot of “I’s” come out of my mouth. In my opinion we need to be mindful of our self-centered, self-absorbed state because if we allow this continue it will become a bad habit. Eventually, we will become ineffective for the Kingdom of God.

God’s words are clear. He says, Be very careful, then, how you live.” How in the world could we make the most of every opportunity, if we are self-centered? Today, let us be wise. Through God’s wisdom, He will guide us in fine-tuning our character flaws.

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 29 Sept 2008

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 29 Sept 2008

Lord Jesus, we thank you for every youth right now. Bless them Lord. Pour your unfailing blessings upon them. Many right now are currently studying and sitting for their exams.

God almighty we pray right now that you would remove all worries, give them good rest and sleep every night.

In the name of Jesus we pray that each child would remember that you Lord defines them. It is God that gives each child a destiny and not man.

Pass or fail, happy or sad, teach your children how to be over-comers. Teach them to fight through adversity. Help them come out victorious and gold. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Psalm 100:3 Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

As we pray specifically for wives and mothers throughout the world today. The Lord our God wants to bless you. The purest form of Love can only come from our Lord and His love towards you will never cease.

There are many things that you do in silent, your prayers for your husband and children. The Lord see's and He knows. Do not give up. Do not stop.

But the Lord has a specific word for mothers' today. "Let Go". Where you have been controlling, where you have come to the rescue for your children, it is time to let God. God needs to grow, build, and mature your sons and daughters. They may fall, they may fail, but God will never test them beyond what they cannot bare. Your love and support, your hand of refuge and warmth will never be forgotten. Today, let us give all our worries and concerns to our Lord. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Don’t miss the opportunities

Today’s word of encouragement is inline with yesterday’s word on enjoying the little things. Don’t miss the opportunities. Everyday is filled with many opportunities that God gives us.

We have an opportunity to make a difference in the life of another person. We have an opportunity to help serve in a ministry at church. We have an opportunity to reach out and talk to someone new at church that is having problems building close friendships. We have an opportunity to give up our seat on the bus for an elderly person. We have an opportunity to speak blessings over people instead of cursing. Everyday is filled with opportunities that God gives us, we can choose to listen, or we can choose to ignore.

Today’s word of encouragement is beyond missing opportunities, but recognizing that we have the ability to bless others. Life is filled with many irritating things. We can choose to only pay attention to things that irritate us, and things that never go our way. Or we can choose to pay attention to opportunities.

Ephesians 5:15-17 Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Lord today we thank you for all the wives and mothers in the world. We pray today that marriages would grow even stronger and marriages would be centered in the will of God because of the sacrifices that these women are willing to take for their own husbands and children. Bless them Lord, pour and shower your blessings on these women always.

Today O Lord, we pray for mending of relationships. We offer to you all the hurts and broken hearts. We offer to you all the empty promises and lies. You O Lord are our maker. You O Lord are our healer. We rest upon your shoulders today and not in false love.

Enjoy the little things

Today’s word of encouragement is about enjoying the little things in life. There are moments in our lives that are priceless. Like when a child utters his or her first words. We cannot buy these moments. Similarly, I believe that God wants us to find encouragement in life right now by enjoying the little things.

God’s encouragement to us all in a way is to relax and take time to enjoy what God is doing right now. Enjoying the learning process, enjoy the success, enjoy the times of failure, in our own measure we need to learn to let go.

Today, let us ask ourselves if we are able to enjoy the little things that God has blessed us with, or are we being too demanding to the point where we feel, God has not blessed us at all.

Psalm 37:16-17 Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 27 Sept 2008

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 27 Sept 2008

Father, we pray for moral abstinence. Lord, we pray that your children today would be taught how to value their lives and what you have given them. Teach them to protect their virginity and not to take it for granted. Today O Lord, we pray that parents throughout the world would learn how to teach moral abstinence and moral values to their children.

In the name of Jesus where the enemy has robbed the youth today, on the meaning of love, relationships, kissing, etc. We pray that you would lay that foundation, we pray that you would be the definition of love, most of all O Lord we pray that the name of Jesus would be the solid and firm foundations in all youths in every nation.

God almighty we thank you for all that you are doing in each and every child. Help us Lord to mold them and draw them closer to you everyday. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Proverbs 3:11-12 My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.

Today, we pray specifically for fathers. Help us Lord be active in the development of our children. Where our children lack knowledge of you, of the Bible, of prayer, TODAY WE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. We pray to be men of action that will challenge our children to build a relationship with You God.

Where we have been lazy and leaving all of the development of our children to our wives, Father we pray for forgiveness right now. We humbly repent, and we pray that we would not waste anymore time.

Our children are at a critical age of development. Either MTV, their new boyfriends/girlfriends, movies, music, computer games, PSP, Nintendo, will disciple them, mold them, control them; or we will.

Today, we pray to make a difference in the lives of our children. Help us O Lord, to realize that each child you have given to us is a gift. Each child is going to be used by you, and you have made them for a purpose. God today, we give you all glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

What you value most - #10 Worry

Today’s word of encouragement is a reminder to us all that worrying does not help. When do we worry? We have to find out what makes you worry. Most often I worry about my future, the unknown and uncertainty. I want to know what is going to happen tomorrow, and sometimes the suspense of the futures frustrates me.

Because I worry about the same things over and over again, God has fine-tuned my soul to be aware that I’m headed down the road of internal worry. The moment I am aware that I am starting to worry this is when I begin to die to my “self”. Worrying is a form of “Shaun” taking control of his life. But God is simply asking me, who is in control? You or me?

The question of what do we value most in life is simple. However, “we” complicate things beyond what they are supposed to be. God is simple, he does not complicate or confuse.

If you are worried about something today, let us offer them all to God. Tell God exactly what you are facing, and ask God directly what you should do. I encourage you to seek your friends to pray for you. The power of prayer cannot be taken for granted.

Matthew 6:25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? 28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 26 Sept 2008

God thank you for the youth, each one of them. God you have a mighty destiny for each child. Today, if there is any child of yours that is lonely, broken, hurt, and persecuted we pray that you would bring restoration and healing. We pray that you would fill their void with your unfailing love.

Father, open the eyes of every child. Help them find their destiny today. If they are hungry for you, in the name of Jesus bring clarity in their lives. God you are King over all the earth. We praise and thank you. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Psalm 100:3 Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Mountain moving faith. Today do we trust in the Lord or do we believe what man says. There is power in the name of Jesus.

In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

What you value most - #9 Don’t miss the boat

As I have stated before, God loves us all so much that He created you and me unique. However, He can use anyone to fulfill His plans. Today we have the ability to embark on the journey that God planned, or we can chose to stay back. If it isn’t you or me, then God will use someone else.

Today’s word of encouragement is this, let us not miss the boat because we were too slow to understand what God was trying to say to us all along, because we couldn’t wake up, because we had to stop at the grocery store to get our dinner, what is your excuse?

My excuse is often, I’m not good enough, I’m not smart enough, the fear of failure, the inability to provide for my family, and many more. But in the end of the day, I still need to answer God. Why did I miss the boat?

Today, I hope we choose to get on the boat, and walk with Jesus for the rest of our lives.

Matthew 14:29 Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" 31Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 25 Sept 2008

Psalm 102:18 Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the Lord

In your glory and in your mercy we pray this verse over all the youths throughout the world today and those that are not yet born. Lord we pray that your sons and daughters would praise your name.

Father, help us. Help us to know your will and what your plans are. The only way to know is if we are hungry and thirsty for you. In the name of Jesus we pray that youths of all nations would be hungry and thirsty for more of you Lord.

God you are going to use the next generation. You are going to change the world and make a great impact though the lives of all the youth. In Jesus mighty name we pray you’re your children would be hungry to know more about you. In Jesus we pray, amen.

Lord thank you for all husbands and fathers right now. Father we thank you for Adam and the example that he has left us as a reminder. Father, we pray specifically today that we would be men of action.

Help us Lord, discern what is right from wrong. Father, in the name of Jesus we pray that husbands and fathers will be used by you as testimonies, as models to the youth. We pray that young men would turn to fathers and married men for advice, guidance, and wisdom.

Lord, we pray for transformation to take place in the lives of all the youths because Husbands chose to follow your ways today. Because fathers chose to lead by example. God help us, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Psalm 104:31 May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works.
