Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 30 Nov 2008

#63 Egypt

Father, we pray right now that the fear of the Lord would be established in the nation of Egypt. We thank you for the gifts, talents, and strong history that this nation carries.

Right now O Lord, we pray that You would awaken and shake this nation through simple but effective ways. God You are not a God of confusion. Today, we pray that clarity would be established.

We pray for this nation and its leaders. As they try to resolve conflict and build peace, we pray that You O Lord would bind and uncover evil plots and plans. We pray for more Mordecai’s to be birthed in this generation. In Jesus Name we pray amen.

Esther 2:19-22 Mordecai Uncovers a Conspiracy

19 When the virgins were assembled a second time, Mordecai was sitting at the king's gate. 20 But Esther had kept secret her family background and nationality just as Mordecai had told her to do, for she continued to follow Mordecai's instructions as she had done when he was bringing her up. 21 During the time Mordecai was sitting at the king's gate, Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's officers who guarded the doorway, became angry and conspired to assassinate King Xerxes. 22 But Mordecai found out about the plot and told Queen Esther, who in turn reported it to the king, giving credit to Mordecai.

Father, we lift up every poor and starving person right now to You. We thank you for their lives. We thank you for the many men and women trying to make a difference for the poor.

God, today we pray for miracles to take place. Just as You have shown many miracles through Moses, we pray that all the global food shortage problems and escalated prices will not bring chaos in the years to come.

God, You are in control. We thank you that You are, and we thank you that Your purposes will bring glory and praise to You. We pray for all the stubborn hearts, poor, rich, it does not matter. God right now, we pray that You would soften their hearts. In this lifetime we pray that the poor will be blessed because of people caring. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Deut 5:29 Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!
