Prayers for the youth and marriages – 28 Nov 2008

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 28 Nov 2008

Habakkuk 3:17-18 Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.

Father, we pray that these verses in Habakkuk would resound in our souls. May they be our source of strength in the darkest hours.

Lord we pray for the youth throughout the world. We pray that they will not shrink back, they will not fear failure, but they will continue to rejoice in the Lord, and be joyful in God who is our Savior.

God almighty we pray for generations of men and women who will carry the signature of the Lord Jesus Christ in them. Wherever they walk, the north the south, east and west, people will desire what they have because their strength is the Lord. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Lord Jesus, it is clear that trials in life are part of life. We pray for perseverance today. We pray for greater hope today. We pray that marriages would not be so quick to quit and give up. The battle has already been won.

The enemy wants to create more division, causing couples to fight over the smallest issues in life. Today, we pray for the Lord’s spirit of discernment, to be poured on all of us. We pray that we would be quick to forgive, quick to repent, quick to humble our pride. Today O Lord, challenge us. Today O Lord, challenge marriages throughout the world to not give up. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
