Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 25 Nov 2008

#58 Denmark Father we lift up the nation of Denmark to You today. We pray for peace between its neighbors. We pray that commonality, unity, and vision of the future would unite Denmark with the rest of the European Union. We thank you for this nation and its financial backing towards nations that are in turmoil currently. In the name of Jesus we pray that You would use Denmark and its people to bring peace and prosperity in war stricken nations. Father, we pray that You righteousness would be established today. We pray that You will be done. Most of all, we pray that this nation will build generationally, leaving a lasting legacy for the generations to come. We exalt Your name always. Psalm 34:9 Fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing. Father, we pray for every family who lives in poverty. Those who are still currently living in lack. The lack of basic needs. Father, watch over them. Bless them. Protect them. May they learn to fear You above all. For those who fear You shall lack nothing. Father, how sad it is that the world with all its wealth and gain has created financial systems and products to “get rich quick”. Global economies having to pump trillions of dollars to revive and sustain economies. Yet despite all these trillions of dollars, we cannot even provide clean water and staple food for the poor. Father, today, forgive us Lord. Forgive our selfishness. Forgive our stubbornness from listening to You. Forgive our foolishness. Today, we pray that this current financial crisis will be a wake up call. Help us turn evil for good. In your name, amen.
