Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 3 Nov 2008

Finding the right balance – emotional rollercoaster I define the emotional rollercoaster the same as most rollercoaster rides. The ups, the downs, the surprise twists and turns. If we are extremely emotional and moody, there is a lack of balance and we need to change that. God has made some of us more sensitive than others. However, taken to the extreme that is not God. Today, if this sounds like you, I hope that you would be encouraged to change because God has so much in store for you. Put yourself in others shoes. When people are forced to ride on “your” emotional rollercoaster ride, people often either stay far away, or people wait to see the mood (Good means talk/Bad means stay away). Lay down your emotions. We need to find out the root of this seed. Why are we being too emotional? Am I being emotionally draining? When we know the root, we have the ability to lay it down on our cross. We have the ability to repent, seek forgiveness, and most of all attain peace in our hearts. In my opinion when we are too emotional we lack peace in our hearts. By no means are today’s words of encouragement enough to solve and fix problems. However, God is greater than our circumstances, our emotions, and our imbalances. Let us pray for humility and for His grace to help us want to change.
