Prayers for the youth and marriages ~ 1 Jun 2009

Prayers for the youth and marriages ~ 1 Jun 2009

1 Corinthians 12:26 If one suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it.

Laying solid foundations

As we continue to pray for our children and the importance in laying solid foundations, today we pray that our youth would learn how to forgive, let go, and restore.

Father, life is about conflict and resolution. It is not just about conflict, arguing, fighting, and bitterness. Father, we pray right now that our children and we ourselves would learn how to resolve issues. Would recognize that one of the most important aspects in life is the ability to restore relationships.

Father, every relationship is meant for a reason. Some last a lifetime and others are short lived. However, not matter what we pray that we would always be righteous towards others. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Father, we pray right now that every marriage would recognise the value and importance in confrontation.

Lord, we pray that marriages would not be hidden. We pray that husbands and wives would not hide anything towards their spouse. Help us to learn the value in confronting with love. Help us to confront issues Your way and not our way O Lord.

Father, we pray that marriages would be transformed and made new today because couples chose to do things Your way. In the name of Jesus we pray for miracles to take place right now.

We thank You that no longer are we going to carry bags full of issues, hurts, and pains. We are going to be set free from this. It requires confrontation. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Father, we pray that every marriage would lay a solid foundation today in the importance of forgiveness and mending. We pray that couples would drown their lives in the biblical principles of forgiveness.

Father, we pray right now that marriages would recognise the importance in dealing with issues right now versus waiting till the end of life to deal with issues. Father, we pray for a generation of righteous men and women who will lead their homes with the fear of the Lord. If we fear the Lord we would not let our marriages go to waste.

Father, You know every marriage that needs to deal with issues. We pray that You would give us the confidence, boldness, favour and blessings to do so. Father, break every heart now that needs to be broken by You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Prayers for the youth and marriages ~ 27 May 2009

1 Corinthians 12:26 If one suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it.

Laying solid foundations

As we continue to pray for our children and the importance in laying solid foundations, today we pray that our youth would recognize the importance in worshiping and praying.

Father, it is daily that we turn to You for strength. Help us develop a good habit of worshiping You in everything that we do. Lord, we give everything to You in prayer.

Most of all though we pray that our children would recognize the value in praying for others. Open the eyes of our children today. We pray that they will begin to pray for the hurting, the crippled, and the weak. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Father, we pray that every marriage would be founded upon Your Word. As we continue to pray for strong foundations in every marriage, we pray that couple would make every effort to spend quality time with each other.

This is a time of praying, or worshiping God together. Father, we pray for this alone time with You. We pray that husbands would take the lead in this. Let us pray for our family, let us pray and declare the will of God.

Father, every marriage has a purpose and a calling, help us recognise what Your plan is today. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Praying for the nations and for the poor ~ 27 May 2009

Praying for the nations and for the poor ~ 27 May 2009

Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Against corruption

Father, we thank You right now for the shaking that is currently taking place in the nations where corruption is the most rampant. Today, we focus our prayers on families.

We pray that through families, through solid foundations that are being taught to their children, the principles of righteousness will be taught. Father, we pray right now for every family, from the rich to the poor, help us to teach our children how to live righteously.

Lord, we pray as well for every family that is struggling to survive while the corrupted steal what is rightfully theirs. Today, we pray that You would provide. We pray that You would pour Your favour on those that need You most.

We stand amazed and humbled by Your glory and power. It is You O Lord that heals. It is You O Lord that can eradicate corruption. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We pray right now for the poor and needy. Lord help us listen to Your voice intently. Father, we seek You, for we do not know what is going on in this world, but You know everything.

Father, we pray for hope. We pray that the definition of hope and meaning would be given to those that need You most. Father, what is the meaning of life and why are we living for? Father, if it is just to make money then I think we got the definition of life all wrong.

O Lord, we pray that generations of righteous children would be birthed today. We pray our children would understand the importance in providing and giving to the poor. It is more than money, but the ability for the poor to know You O Lord.

Father, where we have fallen short in our generation, we pray for forgiveness. We pray that we would take action today. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Prayers for the youth and marriages ~ 26 May 2009

1 Corinthians 12:26 If one suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it.

Laying solid foundations

Father, we pray that we would recognize the importance in praying for our children and the youth. They are the future, they are the future leaders. Today, we pray that our prayers on laying solid foundations would be emphasized.

Father, we continue to pray that our children would recognize the value and importance in reading the Word of God. The Bible is key and cannot be separated from our lives.

It is through the Word of God that we find life, meaning, and purpose. Father, there are countless children that lack all these things. Help them today. Help them value reading Your Word. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen

Father, just as we pray that the Word of God would be a solid foundation in the lives of our children and youth. It is vital and important that the Word of God be a solid foundation in our marriage.

We thank You Lord that You are doing amazing things through every marriage. We pray that couples would encourage one another through the Word of God.

Today, we pray that we would take bold steps forward by laying things solid foundation in our marriages. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Prayers for the youth and marriages ~ 24 May 2009

Prayers for the youth and marriages ~ 24 May 2009

1 Corinthians 12:26 If one suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it.

Laying solid foundations

Father, as we focus our prayers this week on the importance of foundations, we pray that our prayers would be timely and impactful for those that are raising up children, for those that are surrounded daily with youths.

Every child is of value of worth that God has created for a purpose and for a reason. It is vital and important that we call out the destinies of every single child. Father, we surrender our lives to You, because we realize we are helpless without You and it is only You that can reveal this to us.

Father, we pray that our children would recognize that the most important foundations that they need to lay inside their hearts and souls today comes from the Lord.

We pray that our children at a young age would have an intimate and close relationship with You. We pray that they would desire You more than anything else. Today, we pray that our foundations and our youths would be shaken so that You would lay a solid foundation that is not easily breakable. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen

Father, as we pray for solid foundations to be laid in the lives of the youths, we also pray that solid foundations would be laid in every marriage and every young couple headed into marriage.

We are all human, imperfect, flawed, and sinful. Add two people together and there is a potential for a formula that can create an atomic bomb.

Father, we pray that every marriage would take time to disinfect their sins and issues of the past. It is very draining and frustrating when we do not take the bold step of faith to heal our past. Today, let us surrender our lives to God so that we can be faithful, loving, and righteous towards our spouse and loved ones.

Father, we pray that every marriage right now would spend quality time speaking with You. Where we have laid weak foundations, built bad habits, helps to destroy these things. Every marriage that has weak foundations is doomed for destruction.

Talk is easy. Action is hard. Today, let us choose to lay the right foundations that are from the Lord. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Praying for Sri Lanka and for swine flu ~ 22 May 2009

Praying for Sri Lanka and for swine flu ~ 22 May 2009

Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Lord, we pray right now for Sri Lanka. We pray for its leaders and those that are in places of influence. Lord Jesus, we pray that these people would be used. We pray that they would find meaning in life through You O Lord. We pray for righteousness. We pray for justice. May Your sons and daughters be known because of You.

Father, more still needs to be done, and we pray that we would not give up praying and believing the best for this nation. We pray that Your sons and daughters would not fear the work of the enemy. With God we have already won. We pray that we would not give up.

In Your glory and power, we turn our eyes towards You. You are in control O Lord. You are mightier than the enemy, and we pray right now that this nation is Yours. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen

Father, we commit this time of prayer for all the sick and ill. We pray for all those that are currently in critical condition due to the swine flu.

Father, we pray that the flu would not spread further. We pray that it would be confined, contained, and by the blood of Jesus many will be healed.

It saddens me that so many take You for granted. Furthermore it is only in desperation that many turn to You. But we do not take this for granted today. You are in control.

Right now, we pray that the thousands that are currently sick would be able to know who You are. We pray that their families would be touched and blessed by You. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Prayers for the youth and marriages ~ 21 May 2009

1 Corinthians 12:26 If one suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it.

Father, we pray right now that You would anoint our children with the gift and the ability to stand for what is righteous and holy.

We pray that our children would continue to honour and respect their parents every when it is hard. Lord Jesus, if we do not heal and restore broken relationships, hurt, suffering, and pain, will be brought forward into the future, into our marriages, and we could even pass this on to our children.

Today, we pray for complete healing, restoration, peace, love, and joy. How amazing it would be for children and parents to finally walk in peace over years and years of fighting. You O Lord are really going to use our youth to change this world. May it take place in our homes.

Father, we cry out to You. We pray that Your loving kindness would break the stronghold. Open the eyes of every heart right now. We break pride. We break self-righteousness. We all need a self-check. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen

As we continue to pray for marriages, we pray that every couple would recognise the importance in healing their past. Any unresolved issues, unforgiveness, hurt, bitterness, and issues from the past will be past on into our marriage and to our children.

It is time we heal and forgive. It is time we stop playing games with our spouse, with our children, and more importantly with God.

Today, the Lord wants us to get serious. If we are trying to move on our own way, we will fail. Today, let us do things the way God wants.

Father, give us the strength. Give us the courage and boldness to face our past so that we can walk forward anew.

There are too many broken relationships. There are too many marriages that have been rocked because of the past. There are too many couples unwilling to change. Today, we break this. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Prayers for the youth and marriages ~ 20 May 2009

Prayers for the youth and marriages ~ 20 May 2009

Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

Lord Jesus we pray for our youth right now. Especially for those that are interested in getting into a relationship. We continue to pray this same prayer today. Give us the hearts and compassion O Lord to instil strong values in our children.

Right now O Lord, we pray that You would pierce our hearts that we would recognise and see how much You value our lives.

The very fact that our Lord values our lives means we too must value our life. Is it worth it? Is it worth it to give our bodies to another? Is it worth it to enter into a relationship? Is it God or is it just for us to fulfil and empty void?

In the name of Jesus we pray that our children would be spiritually mature. We pray that they would recognise their value and worth. Give them the security that comes from You O Lord.

Most importantly we pray against peer pressure and against gossip. Father, let this be a reminder to us all, people love to talk and make up things. Right now O Lord, we pray against this. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen

Father, we pray for every marriage right now, please O Lord bring awareness and please give wisdom to every marriage. We pray for strength and endurance. We pray that every marriage would be founded and grounded so firmly and strongly on You O Lord.

Father, we pray that parents would continue to remember that they play an active role in the lives of their children. It is more than just spending time. It is really about knowing each child, how they have been made, and identifying the gifts that God has given them.

Help us right now to lead our homes. We pray for every husband and every wife. As we lay solid foundations, generations of godly men and women will be raised. Right now some couples may not have children, but the very fact that we choose to lay solid foundations now, is a blessing and God will reward us.

In Jesus name we pray, amen.
