Prayers for the youth and marriages – 1 Mar 2009

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 1 Mar 2009

Proverbs 19:27 Stop listening to instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge.

Father, we pray for our youth. Thank you God for their lives. Thank You God for their purpose and for their existence.

Today, we pray that You would open doors for our children that have never been opened before. We pray that they would make huge impacts for the Kingdom of God.

We pray that our children would no longer be hungry and thirsty for worldly possession, because nothing can satisfy.

We pray that they would be hungry for all that is from the Lord, because You are all that satisfies.

You O Lord, reign and rule. We thank you for everything that is going to take place in this lifetime through our youth. In Your name we pray, amen.

Thank You Lord for every marriage. We pray that couples would continue to work on building their love towards each other.

Father, we pray that You would give meaning and purpose to every marriage. We pray against complacency. We pray that couples would not grow tired of each other with each passing year. However, they would grow more and more in love with each other.

God, we pray today that couples would work on their marriage. But it starts with working on their relationship with You. We pray that they would hold fast to the Word of God and all of Your promises. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Praying For The Niger and for the poor – 1 Mar 2009

Praying For The Niger and for the poor – 1 Mar 2009

Psalm 56:3-4 When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?

Lord, we thank you right now for the nation of Niger. Thank you Lord for every single plan that You have for this nation.

Father, as we focus our prayers on this nation today, help us to clearly hear You. Help us to declare Your will and not ours.

We lift up Your people right now. We thank you for their lives. We pray that they will continue to seek You. We pray that righteousness, grace, and mercy would be the foundational stones of this nation.

We pray that your people would be hungry and thirsty for Your holy Word. In the name of Jesus we pray right now that You would pave the way so that this nation will be used to spread the Word of God to the world. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Father, help us to unify our prayers today. God, we pray right now that You would pierce our hearts. You are raising up a generation of people that burn with passion to make a difference for the poor and needy.

We thank you for the people that have gone before us. They have set the example, they have taught us. We have the ability to learn from their mistakes.

However, there are many that go on living without care. Help us today. We pray right now that You would humbly open our eyes that we may see what You see.

Father, in your mercy we pray that healing can take place for the poor. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 1 Mar 2009

Absolutely non-negotiable – the Word of God

How is your current relationship with God? God is clear. You are either in the centre of God’s will or you aren’t. Are we faithfully seeking God everyday to lead us, direct us, and to show us the way forward?

The Word of God is an absolute non-negotiable. How can we claim to be in the centre of God’s will if we aren’t reading His Word? How can we have a personal relationship with God if we are not diligently reading the Bible?

I hope that you are being stirred up by God right now. I believe that God is going to reveal so much to us all from just reading the Word. If we read just four chapters a day, we will finish the entire Bible in one year.

Your precious time. In one day we are given exactly 24 hours. No more and no less. How much of that time is focused on reading the Word?

2009 is going to be a great year. A year when our faith is tested. A year when our destiny and purpose is taken to the next level. But most of all, a year when our relationship with God grows and never turns back.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Absolutely non-negotiable – your relationship with God

Your relationship with God is an absolute non-negotiable. God counts your life precious, valuable, and meaningful. As yesterday’s words clearly say, Someone spent so much time creating you. The way you look, the way you talk, your finger print, your height, your emotions, and your personality.”

Times of uncertainty. During times of uncertainty will you waver? Will you be shaken? Our relationship with God is the only certainty of what is to come. A great tsunami hits the earth and kills hundreds of thousands of people. A great famine takes the life of millions. However, one thing still remains. God counts your life precious, valuable, and meaningful. It is during these storms of life that God is able test our faith. How much do we really love God? It saddens my heart that many would give up on Christ become of the storms.

The storms of life are filled with opportunities. Opportunities to be used by God. Opportunities to encourage those that are weak. Opportunities to stand in the gap. God’s message to us is clear. Your relationship with God is the most important thing in life. Don’t get comfortable on earth, because more is to come.

How do we measure value, worth, and meaning? Death is but certain. God makes it clear that we will suffer for the name of the Lord. Many Christians are suffering this very moment because of their relationship with God. We cannot be shaken and we cannot waver. The storms of life are but certain. The God of yesterday, is the same today and tomorrow.

Your relationship with God is an absolute non-negotiable. Don’t get comfortable. Are we after comfort in life? Is that all we want from God? If it is, then you don’t really know God. It is time we build our relationship with God so that we can clearly know what God is all about.

Ezekiel 22:30 – God is looking for a man who would stand in the gap. Mark 13 – Watch out that no one deceives you. Do not be alarmed of wars, earthquakes, and famines, these are birth pains. The gospel must first be preached to all nations.

2 Samuel 22:29 You are my lamp, O Lord; the Lord turns my darkness into light

Lord, we thank you right now for every life. We pray that we would be able to love every child the way that You have created them.

Father, we pray that parents would never show partiality. Every child has been made uniquely. Give us all the ability to call out the destiny of our children.

Lord, you are going to use every single child. The enemy knows this. However, we pray that You would render the enemy powerless.

Father, we pray that strong foundations would be instilled. We pray that our children would be grounded in the word of God. We pray that they would be known as prayer warriors. We pray that they would stop relying on their own strength and begin to rely on You.

Finally, we pray that our children would grow their relationship with You. We pray that they would never let You go. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Praying For New Zealand and for the poor – 27 Feb 2009

1 Chronicles 16:10 Glory is His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.

Lord we thank you for the nation of New Zealand. It is evident and clear that this nation is going to be used by You Lord.

Without a doubt Your people are gifted, talented, and creative. However, there seems to be a stumbling block that has prolonged this nation’s spiritual development. Today, in the name of Jesus we pray that You would revive this nation. Awaken dry bones O God.

We pray against compromise, laziness, lack of motivation, and desire. We pray that You would instill passion, zeal, perseverance, and boldness.

Thank you for every child right now. We pray for the youth. Use them, anoint them, and may they be grounded in the Word of God.

Thank you for the amazing plans that You have in store. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We pray for the poor O Lord. Thank you for their lives, for their existence, and meaning in life. Lord, no matter what there will always be the poor. But Your command stands firm.

Deut 15:11 There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.

Help us Father. Help us not to take for granted the lives that You have given to us. You have blessed us richly. But today, we pray that You would give us the opportunity to bless the poor and needy.

Lord, we pray that Your glory and power would shine right now. Guide us, and help us listen to You. We walk in obedience today. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Absolutely non-negotiable – gambling your life away

Someone spent so much time creating you. The way you look, the way you talk, your finger print, your height, your emotions, your personality. Despite all these factors, do we gamble our lives away?

How do we gamble our lives away? In my opinion, we have to continuously seek God for direction. This is an absolute non-negotiable. God makes it very clear if we are gambling our lives away. There is absolutely no point in claiming to have great talent, great gifts, but yet we are doing nothing to make a difference with what God has given us. Doing nothing about your life is gambling your life away.

Talk is cheap and easy. Putting your words into action is the key. In my opinion, the world is filled with many “BIG” talkers, that don’t really do much. There are a few who don’t talk big, but do amazing things for the Kingdom of God.

Risk. When God clearly puts up danger signs, red flags, and yet we can’t see them, this says something. Are we foolishly gambling life away? God’s direction is very clear and an absolute non-negotiable. Who are we trying to prove? When we take risks because it is going to add to the Kingdom of God, that speaks volumes about the person’s obedience. However, when we take foolish risks based on assumptions, based on rash decisions, it also reveals a lot about a person’s obedience.

God is encouraging us today to find out what He has planned for you in this life that will make an impact for the Kingdom of God. Some of us need to do something about our lives. Some of us need to take the risk, and walk in obedience. However, what is clear today is that we cannot gamble our lives away, and that is an absolute non-negotiable.

James 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

James 2:22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 26 Feb 2009

2 Samuel 22:29 You are my lamp, O Lord; the Lord turns my darkness into light

Father, we pray that mighty shepherds would be raised today from the youth. Lord, we pray that our youths would desire to be used by You.

Father, we pray for humble leaders to be raised. The world has enough egocentric leaders and we don’t need any more of them. In fact, we pray that You would remove them from power.

The Lord is going to use humble leaders today to fill in the gaps. We pray that You would use our youths. We pray that You would use anyone willing.

Father, You know us all by name. Give us patience. Help us wait on You Lord. However, if You are calling us to step up in faith and boldness, then we pray for a spirit of boldness to fall on us.

Lord, protect our youth. They are going to be used by You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Father, we pray that marriages today would obtain the amazing sense of security from the Lord. The glory of the Lord is going to fall on you. Do not hold back says the Lord.

Father, we pray that couples would learn to walk in sync with You. We pray that we would never walk ahead. When we rush, we never capture all that the Lord has planned. We pray that we would never walk too slowly. When we are slow to act, we miss out on everything that the Lord has planned.

Lord, we thank you for every marriage right now that wants to get serious with You. Some of us have faced many rough patches. However, the Lord says You have come out solid and gold.

We pray for those that are weak and wanting to take shortcuts. Father, help us recognize that there are no shortcuts in life. Give us the endurance to endure. We are made strong in You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
