Finding the right balance – unforgiveness Unforgiveness has been one of my major topics since the beginning of my, Words of Encouragement for Every New Day. Unforgiveness is an imbalance. By the gift of discernment that God has given to us all, it is obvious when a person is walking in unforgiveness. Our countenance says it all. We cannot fake a good countenance, because the one that made us is perfect and without sin. To paint a grim picture, if we cannot forgive others we will die unhappy, without peace, and without the fullness of life that can only come from the Lord. God is the founder of forgiveness. The very fact that He died on the cross for you and me proves this. If God can forgive us daily, why can’t we? The word of God says in Hebrews 4:15, For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted IN EVERY WAY, just as we are-yet was without sin. We cannot fake forgiveness, God sees everything. The tongue is a powerful weapon. It is easy to say we have forgiven, but in our hearts we still carry unforgiveness. It is easy to put on a show. Today, God wants to free us from this imbalance. He wants to restore us. He wants to revive our dead and dry life because of unforgiveness. Numbers 6:24-26 The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. © 2008 Shaun Lee. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
