The fear of the Lord

The fear of the Lord is evident and present in people who have a strong and personal relationship with God. A child as young as five can fully grasp the meaning of the fear of the Lord. Today, are we hungry for more of God?

I believe that God allows trials, illness, struggles, failures, and even persecution in our lives to challenge our faith. Are we going to fully trust God with the fear of the Lord, or are we going to allow circumstances to determine the outcome?

A person, who walks with the fear of the Lord, knows and trusts that God is in control of the circumstance. A person, who walks with the fear of the Lord, knows that if he or she is faced with persecution knows that God has a reason and purpose. However, without a relationship with God, a person is completely lost, stressed, confused, uncertain, and scared about the future. Even the most confident person will be lost without God.

Psalm 19:9 The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous.

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 30 Nov 2008

Father, we thank you for every child born today. God we specifically ask that You would bless and protect these new born children. Throughout the world, many children are unwanted, uncared for, and are beaten and thrown aside like garbage.

In the name of Jesus we pray that the Lords righteous hand would establish right now that every child and ever person is made in the image of God. Father, we pray that Your sons and daughters will begin to realize that they are of value. That You have created them for a mighty purpose and plan.

Father, mans ways are evil. Right now we pray that You would bind and remove all these that persecute, torture, and abuse children.

God You reign. We praise Your name always. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

#63 Egypt

Father, we pray right now that the fear of the Lord would be established in the nation of Egypt. We thank you for the gifts, talents, and strong history that this nation carries.

Right now O Lord, we pray that You would awaken and shake this nation through simple but effective ways. God You are not a God of confusion. Today, we pray that clarity would be established.

We pray for this nation and its leaders. As they try to resolve conflict and build peace, we pray that You O Lord would bind and uncover evil plots and plans. We pray for more Mordecai’s to be birthed in this generation. In Jesus Name we pray amen.

Esther 2:19-22 Mordecai Uncovers a Conspiracy

19 When the virgins were assembled a second time, Mordecai was sitting at the king's gate. 20 But Esther had kept secret her family background and nationality just as Mordecai had told her to do, for she continued to follow Mordecai's instructions as she had done when he was bringing her up. 21 During the time Mordecai was sitting at the king's gate, Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's officers who guarded the doorway, became angry and conspired to assassinate King Xerxes. 22 But Mordecai found out about the plot and told Queen Esther, who in turn reported it to the king, giving credit to Mordecai.

Father, we lift up every poor and starving person right now to You. We thank you for their lives. We thank you for the many men and women trying to make a difference for the poor.

God, today we pray for miracles to take place. Just as You have shown many miracles through Moses, we pray that all the global food shortage problems and escalated prices will not bring chaos in the years to come.

God, You are in control. We thank you that You are, and we thank you that Your purposes will bring glory and praise to You. We pray for all the stubborn hearts, poor, rich, it does not matter. God right now, we pray that You would soften their hearts. In this lifetime we pray that the poor will be blessed because of people caring. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Deut 5:29 Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!

The fear of the Lord.

As we begin a new series, I am praying that this series will be a great connector to my previous topic on maximizing time. In all honesty, if we were 100% obedient to God, fearing God above man, we would be great at maximizing time.

All throughout the Word of God, He talks about the fear of the Lord. God is speaking directly to us. How would we ever know what God is saying to us if we never read His Word?

Psalm 19:9 The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous.

The fear of the Lord is pure, which means we cannot fake it. It endures forever! God’s commands, rules, and regulations are sure and altogether righteous. The fear of the Lord is trust. If we cannot trust, then everything that God has set before us because uncertain and we do not think God is righteous.

I am praying and believing that this series on The Fear of The Lord, will remove the thorns that causes us to not fear God, and not trust Him.

Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 29 Nov 2008

Maximize your time on earth. Jesus did and He only lived for 33yrs.

Our time on earth is very short. We have a choice to maximize our time to the fullest and do everything that God has called us to do, or we can watch people live their life to the fullest.

As I conclude this series on maximizing time, I hope that we will not wait any longer to find out what God wants us to do in our life. In my opinion to live life not knowing what God wants me to do, is very scary.

Scary because it is easy to get confused, it is easy to get side tracked, and there is no clear direction ahead. God made each one of us with a clear purpose, with a clear plan, He even equipped us specifically so that we can fulfill His plan.

God spent so much time creating us, why are we waiting? Why are we stalling? Today, I pray and hope that the fear of the Lord will be instilled in each of us.

Psalm 19:9 The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous.

Habakkuk 3:17-18 Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.

Father, we pray that these verses in Habakkuk would resound in our souls. May they be our source of strength in the darkest hours.

Lord we pray for the youth throughout the world. We pray that they will not shrink back, they will not fear failure, but they will continue to rejoice in the Lord, and be joyful in God who is our Savior.

God almighty we pray for generations of men and women who will carry the signature of the Lord Jesus Christ in them. Wherever they walk, the north the south, east and west, people will desire what they have because their strength is the Lord. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Lord Jesus, it is clear that trials in life are part of life. We pray for perseverance today. We pray for greater hope today. We pray that marriages would not be so quick to quit and give up. The battle has already been won.

The enemy wants to create more division, causing couples to fight over the smallest issues in life. Today, we pray for the Lord’s spirit of discernment, to be poured on all of us. We pray that we would be quick to forgive, quick to repent, quick to humble our pride. Today O Lord, challenge us. Today O Lord, challenge marriages throughout the world to not give up. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

I Corin 1:25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.

#61 Dominican Republic

In the name of Jesus we pray for the Dominican Republic right now. Father, we pray that You would continue to watch over this nation and its people. Help them build unity to fight against crime, violence, and illegal businesses.

Lord your weakness is stronger than our strength. Help us recognize that no matter what, Your glory will shine upon this nation. Today, we humble ourselves that we can be used to help this nation and its people find You. May the purpose of the Lord be revealed today. May we be hungry and thirsty for the things that glorifies the Lord, versus the things that offer temporal satisfaction.

God almighty, You are in control. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Lord your love is all that sustains. We pray for every poor impoverished person right now that they may attain the love of the Lord. Father, we pray today that You would raise up sons and daughters throughout the world that will band together and faithfully pray for the poor.

We pray that in our life time Your children will rise together to provide financial support, aid, healthcare, education, and teach foundational building blocks that will transform societies. Father, in desperation today, we pray that this purpose would take place in this hour.

We are not after selfish gain, we are not after fame and glory, we are not after praise of man, we are after the Lord’s purpose. All glory, fame, honor, and praise is the Lord’s. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Maximize your time on earth. Jesus did and He only lived for 33yrs.

Imagine if everyone in this world was driven to maximize time for the Lord. The World would definitely be a different place. Today, God is challenging each one of us to raise the bar, raise the standard, to not waste anymore time, and start taking action.

Jeremiah 46:3 Prepare your shields, both large and small, and march out for battle!

We have to start preparing our shields. If God is saying to you to get in the mud, get dirty, and walk in places of darkness for the Lord, then are you obeying? The Lord says that only a few walk though the narrow gate, and the majority walks through the wide gate. Which one are you?

On a constant basis we must ask ourselves and have a self check, If God came today, would I be ready or am I totally unprepared? Being unprepared is saying to God, I didn’t have enough time to reach out to that person, God you didn’t give me enough time to fulfill that purpose.

Ephesians 6:16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

We have to realize that being efficient and effective for the Kingdom of God means being 100% prepared for the flaming arrows that the evil one throws at us. Are we extinguishing them? Or are we being burned, drained, tired, and suffocating by the enemy’s work? We know the exact answer to these questions.

Let us raise the bar today. Let us not waste anymore time. The day of the Lord is unknown, are we maximizing every single day for the Lord?
