Firm and solid foundations – heal, deal, and seal Letting go is such an important foundation in life. In order to let go, we must want to heal the wounds, deal with the issues, and finally seal the scares so that they don’t become bigger wounds tomorrow. There are several important things in life that we must learn to let go. (1) Offenses (2) Hurts (3) unforgiveness. If we cannot let go to these things in life, we are building weak foundations. There are many bitter people that are still living with their hurts and pains today, because they were never able to let go. It is time, we let go. It is time we move on. We can never re-live the past again. Here is a fact, we can’t live our past again. However, we have the ability to heal, deal, and seal. Healing the wounds. Admit we are hurt. Admit that we are upset. Then ask God to heal the wounds. Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds. Dealing with the issues God’s way. Dealing with issues is part of life. There is no escape. If we cannot deal with issues God’s way, then we have not really dealt with the issue. It is time we go back, re-examine our issues, and ask God if we have done it His way. Psalm 18:20 The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according ot the cleanness of my hands He has rewarded me. Sealing the scares. God knows who are His and who aren’t. He knows those that have sealed their wounds and hurts God’s way and those that are striving to solve their problems their way. There is no better way than God’s way. In my opinion, if we do not do things God’s way, we are walking the fine line, we are allowing the enemy to corrupt our actions. 2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.” I pray that we would ingrain in our hearts this simple thought process. Heal, deal, and seal. © 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
