Absolutely non-negotiable – caring for the less fortunate Proverbs 29:7 The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern. Does Proverbs 29:7 mean that if we don’t care about justice for the poor, it means we are wicked? That question can only be answered by you. Caring for the less fortunate is an absolute non-negotiable despite the world being unfair. Personally I believe that God has created this world unfairly for a reason. If everything in life was fair, the meaning of surrendering everything to God would be lost because we’d be like robots. Our relationship with God is special. How we surrender our lives to God is unique and no one should ever rob us of that whether we are RICH OR POOR. Proverbs 14:31 He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honours God. Today, I pray that we would choose to honour God by showing kindness to the poor. Instead of looking down on them. Instead of looking at them with disgrace, or being rude to them, let us pray for them. Let us pray a prayer of blessing on them. Proverbs 28:27 He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses. The Word of God says, He who gives to the poor will lack nothing. However, if we close our eyes towards them we will receive many curses. I don’t know about you, but the sound of receiving many curses doesn’t sound pleasing to my soul.
