Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 13 Mar 2009

Absolutely non-negotiable – building good habits Everyday is a challenge to build healthy and good habits. Why do we even bother about building good habits? Why should we even care? Simply put, if we want to have a strong relationship with God, we must show God how serious we are. Building good habits are an absolute non-negotiable. What are absolute non-negotiable habits? (1) Reading the Bible EVERYDAY. (2) Praying and talking to God EVERYDAY. (3) Obeying God DAILY. If we want to get serious with God, it means reading His Word daily. It means talking to Him daily, and obeying His instructions. Bad habits produce weeds. When we have tasted sin, it is sweet like honey. If we cannot overcome our sins, it becomes harder to rectify and correct. Have we come to a point in our lives that we have become numb to sin? I pray that God’s Words would speak to us if we produce weeds, Matthew 13:40 As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. Good habits produce fruit. Developing good habits are simple. God has made things simple for us. However, it is humans who complicate. Matthew 7:18, “A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.” How is your tree today? Are we bearing fruit? Are we producing weeds?
