Firm and solid foundations Matthew 22:37 Love the Lord your God with all your heat and with all your soul and with all your mind. As I embark on a new series, this topic is something that is not new to us. Strong foundations are essential in life. Why? Because when we are faced with a storm in life, how we handle it determines a lot. How do I build firm and solid foundations? Building solid foundations are based on these 3 principles focused on 1, everyday. (1) Read the BIBLE DAILY (2) Pray and talk to God everyday (3) Worship God daily. Why do we do these things everyday? Because the most important thing in life is our relationship with God. Joshua 1:8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night. Proverbs 15:8 The Lord detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases Him. Exodus 23:25-26 Worship the Lord your God, and His blessings will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span. It is time to move on. I believe that through this series God is going to encouragement us to deal with and move on from our life issues that have held us back for A LONG TIME. Our flesh wants to move on, but we can’t because our spirit is weak. God’s revelation. God’s revelation about what we need to fix is so important. It shows that we have a strong and personal relationship with God. If people keep telling us what to do, what to fix, and what we should do, then who is our God? IT IS TIME WE START WORKING ON OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. Stop running away. What frustrates me most is when we know that we have issues that we need to deal with but we don’t want to do anything about it. We think we have sorted everything out, but we haven’t. We make up excuses. Stop running away, and get real with God.
