Praying for Sierra Leone and for the poor – 27 Mar 2009 1 Chronicles 16:10 Glory is His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.

Father, thank you for the nation of Sierra Leone. We thank you right now for everything that You are doing to provide, to bless, and to transform. Lord, it is easy to get angry and upset. It is easy to doubt and not trust. However, today we pray that Your sons and daughters would not give up. The sufferings, the pain, the trials, are tests of life, character, and trust. Today, we seek You that Your people would remain faithful. We pray that Your sons and daughters would be known throughout the world as faithful people. We pray that they would not give up standing up for righteousness. We pray that they would not take shortcuts to fulfill temporary satisfaction. Life is definitely more than that. Today, we declare this nation Yours. In Jesus name we pray, amen. © 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen

Father, we pray that every poor and suffering person right now would be able to place their trust in the Lord. We pray that the division between the poor and rich would not widen. We pray that the rich would learn how to care, love, and bless the poor without asking anything back in return. We pray that the poor would learn not to take the Lord’s blessings for granted. We pray that the poor would begin to open their eyes and realize that they have been made uniquely by You. You have a great purpose and destiny, even through their current circumstance. Father, we pray that You would light the path of those that want to make a difference. Open our hearts, eyes, and mouths. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
