Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 16 Mar 2009

Firm and solid foundations – The Lord is our strength In order to have strong and firm foundations, we must rely on the Lord’s strength and not on our own. The battles we face in life are unique to us. However, battles in life are easy to overcome if we rely on God’s strength. I pray that we would take a few minutes right now to talk with God. We must get to the bottom of this, we must WANT TO OVERCOME OUR ISSUES, and find out what battle/s we need to let go, and let God be our strength. I do not want to offend people, but these are some battles that God wants me to focus on, and we must let them go, bring healing, forgiveness, and walk in victory. (1) Those that have lost their parent/s at a young age and are still bitter, hurt, and angry at God. (2) Those that have been abused as a child (3) All forms of money issues, jealousy, materialism, and the lack of which has caused division (4) Those that have grown up feeling worthless by their family (5) Unresolved, hurt, offences, and issues Recognise. Everyday is a battle that is why our relationship with God is the most important thing in life. We must always be in communication with God so that we can recognise our blind spots. STOP denying. Stop living in denial. Stop making excuses. Why are we being hard-headed? Everyone can see our issues except ourselves, doesn’t that say something? Luke 6:43-45 No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognised by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man bring evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks. Surrender. Some battles are big and some are small. Some people face bigger issues than others but stop comparing. Every battle needs to be surrendered to God whether big or small. If we cannot let it go, if we keep holding on to our pains and hurts, we are building bigger holes and gaps that separate us from God. We must choose to forgive, let go, and 1 Corinthians 10:13 God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear…He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. Do something about it. Because of freewill, God does not force us to surrender, to change, and take action. He reveals to us what we need to do. He reveals the consequences, both good and bad. Today, what are we going to do about our issues, battles, hurts and pains? It is up to us to give everything to God. He is our strength. In my opinion the strongest people in this world ARE NOT those that “act” strong, look strong, and behave strong. But those that rely on the Lord’s strength. Today, it is time we move on.
