Praying For Puerto Rico and for the poor – 15 Mar 2009 1 Samuel 2:8 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; He seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; upon them He has set the world.

Father, we thank you right now for the island of Puerto Rico. We pray for Your people today, and we declare the will of God today. Lord, as we pray I sense that Your people are going to be used as bridges, links, and peace makers to many nations in South America. Father, we thank you for the strong relationship that this island has built with the United States. We pray that this relationship will continue to grow in ways that glorify and praise Your name. We pray against drugs, we pray against crime, and we pray against the abuse of women. In the name of Jesus we pray that Your righteousness would be exalted. We pray that this island would be founded on the Lord’s principles. The battle has already been won. In Jesus name we pray, amen. © 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen

Lord Jesus, thank you for the lives of the poor and needy. Help us to focus our prayers today. Sometimes we may think we are broken records, praying for the same thing over and over again. Lord, the enemy wants to think that we have lost. However, the battle has already been won because of You. Help us to realize this everyday. In the name of Jesus we pray right now that we would be able to strengthen and enlarge our tents. Lord, we pray that our branches would reach to the far gates where no one has ventured. For many, the Lord is calling us to start praying for nations that are in deep rooted poverty. The Lord is our strength. We must not give up. The gospel must be preached to every nation. Lord, help us turn our eyes towards You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
