Doing things God’s way – Self-control Proverbs 25:28 Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control. It saddens me when people take their lives because of a financial crisis. Without God, without a personal relationship with God—we are absolutely lost, useless, and nothing. Be self-controlled. In times of crisis, in times of family distress, illness, debt, etc it is a blessing to have self-control. Doing things God’s way is the only way. In times of crisis, how will YOUR FOUNDATION STAND TO THE TEST? Self-control in my opinion is one of the most important pillars of this foundation called life. It is developed and needs practice. As I sit everyday at work studying the Singapore financial market, I have seen the Straits Times Index climb to its highest record ever, and now I’m seeing the bad times. Self-control. I will not waver, I will not be shaken, and I will not be moved, the Lord is my all. 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man.
