Prayers for the youth and marriages – 14 Oct 2008

Lord, we cry out to you today to bring hope, encouragement, and peace upon every youth. For every child born into a wealthy home, we pray that we would not take this for granted. Instead help us use our financial blessings, and life, to bless those who are less fortunate. For every child born into a poorer home, we pray that you would remove jealousy. We pray instead that they would rise upon adversity, be challenged by their circumstances, and You will use them Lord to make a great impact in this world. In Jesus name we pray, amen. Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. © 2008 Shaun Lee

Thank you Lord, for every couple today. We pray that marriages would cling to You. Give us the strength Lord to persevere and not give up. We pray against anger right now. Help us to tame our tongues. Help us to have self-control and we pray that by your grace and mercy we will have the strength to forgive. Give us the strength to take offenses lightly and not to harbour bitterness. Father, you are our light unto our path. You lead, you guide, you direct, but most of all Lord we humbly lay our lives at the cross, dying fully to our self. In Jesus name we pray, amen. Matthew 11:29-30 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
