Doing Things God’s Way-The things we do in silent There are countless times I wish I could stand on top of the world and tell people “all” the good things I’m doing so people would not judge me and be so critical. The things that I sacrifice out of my day for others. Prayers for others, when no one asked me to pray for them. But you see, what would be the point? Today’s word of encouragement will kick start my new series on, Doing Things God’s Way. What does the Bible say about doing things in silent? Proverbs 27:2 Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; someone else, and not your own lips. Isaiah 17:12 Woe to the multitude of many people who make a noise like the roar of the seas, and to the rushing of nations that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret will reward you. It is easy to fight the world. It is easy to boast about ones accomplishments. It is easy to fight back. Why do we do the things we do? I hope we would all have the ability to respond this way. I choose to hold my tongue from hurting you back though you have hurt me. I choose to let people judge me and I will not say anything back to offend them. I choose to do things God’s way because I’m after God and not man. © 2008 Shaun Lee. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
