Doing Things God's Way – Power in waiting Isaiah 40:29-31 He gives power to the weak and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. It is easy to do things our way and not God’s. It is easy to dictate our lives and not let God dictate it. It is easy to give up when we feel weak, powerless, worried, inadequate, in lack, in want, and in need. God’s Word is filled with power. He wants to pour His power on us, if we would only chose to do things God’s way. If we only could choose to WAIT ON THE LORD. There is power in waiting. When we wait, it may seem slow. It may seem to others that you are FOOLISH. Some may even laugh at you. Some may make more money than you. BUT WE WAIT ON THE LORD. The Lord leads us, the Lord directs our steps, and the Lord is our provider. I shall not fear, I shall wait. #1 He gives power to the weak and to those who have no might He increases strength. Do we feel weak, drained, tired, lost, lonely, and scared about tomorrow? God is YOUR STRENGTH! #2 Even youths shall faint and be weary. Don’t think just because you are young you have time. It is time we stop making excuses to cover up our failures in life. When we fail and are weak, turn to the Lord for strength and STOP COVERING UP YOUR MISTAKES. #3 BUT those who WAIT on the Lord shall renew their strength. The vision God gives us is so clear. We shall mount up with wings like eagles, we shall run and never be weary, and we shall walk and never faint. Let the world chase after material gain. Let the world laugh at you. Why? Because we choose to do things God’s way. We choose to wait on the Lord. © 2008 Shaun Lee. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
