Prayers for the youth and marriages – 7 Oct 2008

We pray for wisdom today for all the youths throughout the world. Father, we pray for wisdom to be defined by you and not by man. In Jesus name. The Word of God says in 1 Corinthians 1:26 Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things-and the things that are not- to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. Today, we pray this verse over the youth and the generations to come. We pray that our children would run after the things of You and not of man. We pray that they would run after You and not wealth. Father, we pray for generational shakers and movers. You have such great plans, Father help us hear You O Lord. Help us not miss what you have been trying to say to us all along. In the name of Jesus we declare the power of love to be ingrained in our hearts today. Love defined by God and not by man. IF WE HAVE NOT LOVE, WE ARE NOTHING, WE HAVE GAINED NOTHING! (1 Corinthians 13:1-3) Father if there are any marriages that lack love today, we pray for an awakening to take place. Help us, teach us how to love YOU AGAIN O LORD. In the name of Jesus we pray for marriages in this world to be transformed because of Your Love Lord. Let our prayers be heard. Let our prayers be sound! Watch and see as statistics are going to be nullified, how? Why? Because of the Lord Jesus Christ. Father we pray for more of You Lord. We pray that this verse would be the defining factor is all marriages. In Jesus name. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
