Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 28 Feb 2009

Absolutely non-negotiable – your relationship with God

Your relationship with God is an absolute non-negotiable. God counts your life precious, valuable, and meaningful. As yesterday’s words clearly say, Someone spent so much time creating you. The way you look, the way you talk, your finger print, your height, your emotions, and your personality.”

Times of uncertainty. During times of uncertainty will you waver? Will you be shaken? Our relationship with God is the only certainty of what is to come. A great tsunami hits the earth and kills hundreds of thousands of people. A great famine takes the life of millions. However, one thing still remains. God counts your life precious, valuable, and meaningful. It is during these storms of life that God is able test our faith. How much do we really love God? It saddens my heart that many would give up on Christ become of the storms.

The storms of life are filled with opportunities. Opportunities to be used by God. Opportunities to encourage those that are weak. Opportunities to stand in the gap. God’s message to us is clear. Your relationship with God is the most important thing in life. Don’t get comfortable on earth, because more is to come.

How do we measure value, worth, and meaning? Death is but certain. God makes it clear that we will suffer for the name of the Lord. Many Christians are suffering this very moment because of their relationship with God. We cannot be shaken and we cannot waver. The storms of life are but certain. The God of yesterday, is the same today and tomorrow.

Your relationship with God is an absolute non-negotiable. Don’t get comfortable. Are we after comfort in life? Is that all we want from God? If it is, then you don’t really know God. It is time we build our relationship with God so that we can clearly know what God is all about.

Ezekiel 22:30 – God is looking for a man who would stand in the gap. Mark 13 – Watch out that no one deceives you. Do not be alarmed of wars, earthquakes, and famines, these are birth pains. The gospel must first be preached to all nations.
