| Absolutely non-negotiable – leaders are servants to Christ Servant leadership is a common subject matter. However, what I am focusing on today, is clearly an absolute non-negotiable. Leaders are servants to Christ. This world has seen enough cases of bad leaders and good leaders. However, what this world lacks are leaders in every sphere of society leading as servants of our Lord Jesus Christ. You may feel like your role, your job, and position is not worthy of being called a leader. Today, I believe that God wants to encourage us. He is saying to us, You have been called for such a time as this. You may be a mother whose full time job is to look after your kids. Don’t ever take for granted your role. The fact that you are Christ’s servant, your children will have a head start in their future because of what is being instilled in them. You may be out of a job due to the current economic recession. Begin to open your eyes. You are still God’s chosen. He made you uniquely. No one else looks like you. It is time to get serious with your relationship with God. Start serving Him, give your all to Him, and watch and see, His promises never return void. In my opinion, the only way that we can lead as servants, is if we are Christ servants to begin with. Completely surrendered to God. How amazing it would be for this world to have every leader who is able to surrender their lives to God daily. Colossians 2:20 Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules: “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not tough!”?
