Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 12 Feb 2009 Psalm 132:14-16 This is my resting place for ever and ever; here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it-I will bless her with abundant provisions; her poor will I satisfy with food. I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints will ever sing for joy.

#126 Mauritius Father, we thank you for the nation of Mauritius. We pray that we would continue to fight for this nation. We pray that we would protect the natural beauty of this nation. Lord, we pray for Your people right now. We pray that they would stand in the gap to protect and conserve this nations natural habitat. Father, we pray that through this current economic crisis, You would continue to bless and protect this nation. Though small and vulnerable, it does not matter. You can use any nation for Your glory. Jeremiah 22:16 He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me? In the name of Jesus we pray right now that we would defend the poor and needy. Father, do we really know You? Do we really care about the poor and needy who are suffering and are in need. Lord, we pray right now that those that are consciously making an effort to make a difference would be blessed. However, we pray right now that their work would not go to waste. It is more than monetary support. It is about laying the right foundations so that the poor and needy would have the ability to know God themselves. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
