Prayers for the youth and marriages – 19 Feb 2009 Proverbs 3:3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

We pray that our children would always walk in the centre of the Lord’s unfailing love. Father, we pray that our children would not faint at the day of battle. We pray that they would not shrink back. We pray that they would rise on eagles wings, because these our sons and daughters are faithful. Lord, we pray that our children will be known in their generation as men and women who are faithful. They are used because they bind around their necks the meaning of love and faithfulness that is defined by God and God alone. Today, let this be a stepping stone. We pray that You would use us Father. Use us to set the course straight. Where we have strayed, wandered off and taken You for granted, we seek Your forgiveness. As the glory of the Lord shines over the earth. The sun never fails, the night never fails. Yet marriages fail easily. Father, we thank you that You are consistent. Thank You that You are reliable. At the time of need You are there. At the time of praise You are also there. Today, we pray that the Lord would reign in our marriages. We pray that the pillars of love and faithfulness would be bound around our necks. Father, we pray right now that every marriage would desire to be bound, to be imprisoned to love and faithfulness. Help us Father to see how precious this is. No longer are we going to be bound to pornography, adultery, lust, and insecurity. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
