Prayers for the youth and marriages – 21 Feb 2009 Proverbs 19:27 Stop listening to instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge.

Lord we thank you for the youth of this world. We pray that You would always pour your favour and love on them. Father, we pray that every child would recognize that value and worth. In the name of Jesus we pray that our children would never give up their destiny. We pray that they would understand the power and love in the Lord’s discipline. Father, we pray that they would be obedient to their parents, but most of all to You. May they appreciate the education they have, but we pray that education would never be placed about You and Your plans. Lord, You come first and that is most important. We thank you for every marriage right now Lord. Thank you for their commitment. Thank you for their vows. We pray for rocky marriages right now. As they work through these stormy seas, we pray that they would come out stronger than before. We pray that You would humble our hearts. Teach us the meaning of love, defined by You. We pray that we would be faithful Father. We pray that we would be faithful in our relationship with You. Where we have neglected our prayer time, we ask for forgiveness. Where we have neglected praying for our spouse, forgive us. Lord, You are doing amazing things right now in every marriage, and we pray that You would open our eyes. In Jesus we pray, amen.
