Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 14 Feb 2009 Psalm 56:3-4 When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?

Drought and famine Father, we cry out to you today. We pray that You would give us the strength and courage to face the trials and tests ahead. Lord, we pray for every nation right now struggling through drought and famine. We pray that You r children would not runaway from You, but they would run towards You. Father, we pray that through this situation and the economic crisis, it would unite the world. Help us to lay aside our own personal agendas. God, we pray that today would be a significant milestone. Let us be faithful in standing up to what is righteous. In Jesus name we pray, amen. © 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen

Lord, we thank you for the poor and needy. Thank you Father for giving us the strength and endurance to pray for them faithfully. Father, we pray that we would be men and women of action. Words are easy, even praying can be easy. It is just sacrificing time out of our day. However, the true test would be giving of our physical bodies to help the poor. Or, giving financial aid. Lord, there are many things that we can do. We pray right now that we would not sit back and take a back seat. Let us be driven to make a difference. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
