Absolutely non-negotiable – honesty To reiterate the purpose for this series, it is to build a stronger relationship with God, have a balanced life, and gain discernment. Absolute non-negotiables are so important to identify in our lives and if we haven’t already done it, then it is time to start. If we already know our non-negotiables, then we need to ask ourselves are we compromising our non-negotiables. Honesty. I’m not going to tell you that you should stop lying, stop hiding your sins, and start telling the truth. Why, because honesty should already an absolute non-negotiable. Today’s encouragement is to being honest and true to yourself. Being honest and true to yourself, is recognising that our identity is in Christ. We no longer have to chase after false dreams and false ambitions. I hope that we will be able to say, “God my identity is in You, and that is absolutely a non-negotiable.” Isaiah 59:14-15 So justice is driven back, and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter. Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey.
