Bridging the gap – convictions Ezekiel 22:30 I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none. Being that bridge that connects carries a lot of weight and responsibility. However, this weight and responsibility are not as important as our relationship with God. That is why only a few are ever used by God as bridges of the many gaps in this world. To be honest with you, it saddens my heart when these “bridgers” fall short of fulfilling their purpose because of sin, because of trails, storms, temptation, and other circumstances. Today, what would help us stand the test of life? What would make us unwavering during the storms? The Word of God holds all the answers to holding strong convictions. It even holds stories of life examples of those with strong convictions and those who didn’t. As I have stated before many times: God uses normal, ordinary, and unschooled men/women to fulfill His plans. These men and women that God used were from all different walks of life. However, the one commonality was that they all had, unwavering convictions. Today, let us claim Psalm 26:1 over our lives. The Word of God says, “Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the Lord without wavering.” Right now at this very moment, can we say to God that we have led a blameless life? How badly do we want God in our lives? If we are desperate for God, strong convictions must be implemented. © 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
