Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 20 Dec 2008

There is power in sacrifice For a cause greater than yourself. Everything that we do must have a purpose. If we are solely living life just to make money and provide for our family, I’m sorry but there has got to be more to life than that. There is great power in a son or daughter of God that sacrifices his/her life for a cause greater than them. Luke 17:34-35 I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left. Which one will we be? Are we going to be the ones that are taken or the ones that were left behind? The saddest thing to me, is to see godly men and women wasting their life by achieving material gain, but all God wants us to do is to sacrifice worldly possessions for a cause greater than ones self. Luke 17:33 Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. What will it take for us to fully comprehend what God wants us to do? Majority of us are still searching for that answer. Some of us know the answer but have not done anything about it.
