Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 9 Dec 2008

#71 France

Father, we lift up the nation of France to you today. We thank you for the amazing things that are going to take place in this world because of this nation. Father, many nations have been blessed and transformed because of France, and we pray that this will continue for generations to come.

Father, where this nation has been slow to act, slow to move forward, slow to make change, we pray today that the voice of our Lord Jesus Christ would be loud and clear. May your sons and daughters continue to walk in obedience to Your voice and no one else.

By Your grace and mercy we pray that Your Kingdom come and Your will be done forever and ever. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Acts 22:14, “The God of our fathers has chosen you to know His will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from His mouth. You will be His witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on His name.”

May the Lord’s glory and light shine upon the earth because the plans and purposes that You have for every child whether rich or poor. Today, we pray for the heart of compassion.

Father, in this desperate hour we pray that more people would unite together to fight against HIV/AIDS, disease, illnesses, hunger, and persecution. Lord, may judgment be upon those who exploit, persecute, and abuse. No one but You sees and knows what man does. As Your Word so clearly indicates when we persecute the poor, we are persecuting the Lord.

God almighty, where we have been blind, selfish, arrogant, and cold hearted, we pray for forgiveness today. We repent of this, and ask that You will give us all an opportunity to make a difference in this world not for our own agenda, but Yours.

God You are in control and we thank you for everything that You have planned in the years and months to come. In the name of Jesus we praise You, amen.
