Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 16 Dec 2008

Psalm 71:20 Though You have made me see troubles, many and bitter, You will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth You will again bring me up.

#77 Ghana

Lord today we honor and lift up the nation of Ghana to you. We thank you for the tremendous effort that this nation has taken to bring about lasting change that will transform the continent of Africa all for Your glory.

Today, we pray for more sons and daughters to rise up and claim authority to move and shake down barriers in the name of Jesus. We pray for real and authentic faith. No more “religious” ways. We pray for men and women who will stand because of faith and not because of religion.

Father a great political awakening is taking place right now for this nation. Especially in the areas of education, finance, and foreign affairs. In the name of Jesus we pray right now that You would instill the right leaders to lead. We pray that they would lead with righteousness and humility. But most of all we pray that they would have a strong relationship with You.

Father, great things are taking place for this nation. We pray that they would not give up, but they would continue to strive for all that brings You glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Father, we pray right now that You would revive and strength all of Your sons and daughters who have been suffering. By your power and by your will we pray that restoration and healing can take place.

From every corner of the world, You know all of us by name. We pray and ask that You would bring peace, justice, and provide restoration of health.

We pray against complacency. Every child is precious in your sight and we pray that even the poor would find their destiny and calling.

We pray for strength and perseverance. We pray for more prayer warriors to rise up together to pray for the poor and needy. God, may a great impact be made today for Your children. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
